I've Always Loved Thayers

I've always used Thayers Witchhazels. It's great that they have an endless choice for different types of skin. As a student of Natural Medicine I can say they add great beneficial herbal extracts to their formulas. I have oily skin so I wanted to try the lemon formula. It contains great herbs for calming overactive sebaceous glands such as lemon, lemongrass, and grapefruit. Nettle, Witchhazel, and Aloe is cleansing, nourishing, and softening to the skin and hair. I'm not a fan of lemon scented ANYTHING but I love the smell of this product. It closes pores nicely and for containing alcohol it's still gentle. But if you have sensitive skin/rosacea, I would recommend Thayers Alcohol-Free Rosewater Toner. Rosewater and Rose oil is amazing for these types.

Awesome Shampoo!

I've always used organic products and I've never found a shampoo that suds up as much as this one and truly is refreshingly clarifying! I love its shockingly simple fomula too. But there's a trick to applying it thoroughly!! It will seems too thin for a shampoo but don't be fooled because when you try to applying to the scalp it's sticky and hard to spread. But I found that it's easiest to take about a nickel to a quarter-sized amount in the palm of my hand, using my other hand, I dip the tips of my fingers in the shampoo then apply to the top, sides, and back of my head(re-dipping my fingers for each spot ofcourse). Make sure you get it down to the scalp, then put your head under the running water VERY quickly ensuring not to rinse off the product. This loosens it and brings it straight to the scalp. Focus on the roots because that's where the buildup/oils are. Massage evenly over the scalp and you'll find it suds up ALOT more this way, I promise!! Haha! :) Then just rinse, the suds will clean the hair shaft and ends as you rinse it out.

Great for EXTREMELY DRY hair!

Posted on Aug 08, 2010

I rated this conditioner 5 stars because it's the only organic all-natural conditioner I've ever used that has detangling properties and you can feel the softness after the first use! I have very long curly hair so I usually comb tangles out in the shower with the help of conditioners. I've always used organic products and never found conditioner that can detangle amazingly like this one! I don't have very dry hair so I found out I only need a little cause my hair won't soak it all up and made it kinda greasy looking. But I'm telling you if you have brittle extremely dry hair, it's gonna love this conditioner and slurp it right up!
