My Reviews

More nutritious/taste very minty

Posted by Reviewer2627164 on Feb 12, 2007

I bought Garden of Life over Carlson's because of its superior Vit A content in comparison. It also lists the Omega 3 amt (Carlson does not), and it doesn't add synthetic vitamins (Carlson's does). The mint taste can be somewhat overpowering - all you taste is the mint. There is a slight fishy aftertaste. Overall, it's a tasty way to get your vitamins and EFAs in their most natural form.

Delicious way to take your calcium!

Posted by Reviewer2627164 on Feb 12, 2007

This is a delicious, creamy liquid full of bioavailable calcium, magnesium and vitamin D. (Most calciums are not easily assimilated in the body, but citrate is the most recommended bioavailable form on the market.) I prefer this liquid over those chalky chew tablets or candy-like chews. I like the idea that it is in liquid form and therefore, goes directly into my system without any digestion concerns.

good ingredients, OK taste

Posted by Reviewer2627164 on Apr 10, 2007

I like the idea of a meal replacement packed with protein, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, phyto-nutrients, etc. Can't say I have noticed any energy boost after drinking it. You have to use 2 scoops (not 1) for one serving and let's just say, the taste could be better. It's suppose to be "granola flavored". I wouldn't drink it plain - you definitely have to mask the taste with lots of fruit or cocoa. Also it doesn't fill you up at all. Better to take it with fiber-rich foods to hold you over.
