My Reviews

Advanced eye factors.

iHerb doesn't stock my first choice Eye Supplement. This one has some good ingredients, but looses points for containing soy and Mag. stearate

Raw Truth

Worth a read; but it is published by 'Garden of Life' and full of adverts for their products.

Coleus

Posted by Reviewer2672348 on Mar 28, 2011

I take coleus for my glaucoma. It does bring down my eye pressures. This is not my favorite make -( which is nearly always unavailable/ out of stock.) This one looses a point for it's excipients.

Pure Essence - Vision cellular support.

Posted by Reviewer2672348 on Nov 04, 2010

I like the list of ingredients, but not the excipients like mag. stearate, so the product does lose one star. No improvements noticed yet with my eyes; I have glaucoma, and my eyes need all the help they can get. The price is not cheap. iHerbs shipping now takes twice as long , to the UK as it used to.- 11 or 12 days, instead of 6. it seems to go via Germany now.

JarroSil

I haven't noticed any improvements yet; but at least it doesn't have the horrid 'stale fish' smell and taste of Biosil. I have now finished a second bottle, and can see no improvements whatsoever, so have down graded my star rating from 4 to 2

Stress free.

Quite good as a free sample, but I probably wouldn't buy, as it is a tablet containing soy, stearic acid and other excipients, that I don't really want. It also contains licorice which I read should not be taken if one has glaucoma.( which I do )

Liquid E-complex

Posted by Reviewer2672348 on Jan 26, 2010

I like drops, because they don't usually contain so many excipients. This is quite a good product, but it loses one star for containing soy.

Liquid B complex

Posted by Reviewer2672348 on Feb 17, 2013

I thought a liquid form, for B vitamins might be absorbed better and have less additives, than pills or caps. Now I have just read that when Sodium Benzoate, the preservative used, is combined with ascorbic acid (vit. C ) Benzene is formed - a known carcinogen. [Google sodium benzoate and vitamin C.] So I shall not be purchasing this again. I'm trying to cut down on nasties, not drink them in my supplements! - and this has been known about since 1990.

Tea Infuser

Unfortunately this broke the very first time I used it; one of the three rivets fell out - a waste of $1.

kefir

Posted by Reviewer2672348 on Apr 28, 2012

This product has not worked for me. I have tried using goats milk heated gently to 82degrees, as per instructions on packet. After 24 hours in a warm cupboard, it remained as runny as the milk. I tried without heating - a minuscule amount of slight thickening appeared round the edge. I may as well just drink the milk. I won't be wasting my money on this Kefir again. I can't understand how people can eat it with a spoon. Maybe it just doesn't work with goats milk.

Kyolic garlic

Posted by Reviewer2672348 on Sep 17, 2009

Mostly good ingredients - except for Magnesium Stearate. My health practitioner has advised me NOT to take this as it forms a bio-film, which can prevent absorption. For that reason I shall not purchase this product again.
