Raw Coconut Aminos

Posted on Apr 17, 2015

This has a weird and interesting taste. It's a bit salty/umami - like soy sauce - but it is also quite sweet, so it's almost like a soy sauce mixed with a sweet vinegar. I guess it's not for everyone but it's growing on me and adds a nice edge to my otherwise limited diet.

Vanilla extract

My favorite vanilla extract. The flavor is very nice, and I'm all for the fairtrade+ concept. Thumbs up!

Stevia Liquid Extract

Posted on Sep 01, 2012

I like this stevia extract. It tastes really fresh (but it still has that typical, slightly bitter stevia taste unfortunately). I do find myself using the flavored stevias a lot more often than this one though, but this is good to have at hand for the "every now and then"-use.

Raw Chocolate Powder

Posted on Apr 17, 2015

I use this in homemade chocolate, smoothies, raw cakes and pies... Let's just say it's a staple in my kitchen. If you've never had raw cacao before, you'll need to get used to the taste. It has more of a bite/"tartness" to it than the regular roasted/processed with alkali types, so strictly flavor-wise I guess the roasted types win by an inch but with all the added benefits of this unprocessed, so-good-for-you, real raw cacao powder I know where I'll put my money! And the Navitas Naturals brand offers a superb quality product! Will keep on buying:)

Aura Cacia, Organic, Patchouli

Posted on Apr 29, 2015

It has a very strong smell, which I have found to be the case with pretty much all the Aura Cacia essential oils I've tried so far. I use it in my homemade body oil. It can also be used together with citronella and/or lemon essential oils to make a natural insect repellent (just remember to dilute them properly in a carrier oil)

Amla-C Plus

Posted on Sep 16, 2012

This combination of amla berries and spirulina seem to work great. The powder is green and has a tart, nice flavor that goes well in berry smoothies. I can't say too much about the C vitamin power since I don't have access to a lab, but all the other Pure Planet products I've tried have been of outstanding quality, so I'm assuming this one is no exception!

Tom's of Maine Deodorant

Posted on Apr 25, 2015

Tom’s of Maine has the best natural deodorants I’ve tried so far. But if you have a normal to active lifestyle you might have to reapply the deodorant throughout the day. I have sensitive skin that will itch and dry out if I use regular deodorant, but this one helped soothe and repair my skin and stopped the itching/burning. It is hard to describe the smell but it’s definitely not very flowery. I would say it has a natural smell that can be used by men and women alike. I prefer the more feminine smell of the Beautiful Earth deodorant but will probably buy this again for variation.

Ok flavor

This flavor was good but I think the peach flavor was better/tasted more natural. I like the bottle with the built-in dropper.

Just Cherries

Posted on Feb 21, 2012

1 person found the following review helpful

The only reason I gave these cherries four stars instead of five is because I bought these at the same time as a bag of the organic version to see if there actually was a difference. And it was. These taste a bit less than the organic ones so I had to take away a star. But they're just as crunchy as the other ones, and I like to use them in homemade chocolate and other snacks.

Brown Rice Protein

Posted on Dec 12, 2011

1 person found the following review helpful

It tastes good with a hint of vanilla but it has the same texture as most other protein powders I've tried. Typical protein powder texture in other words. But if that doesn't bother you this is a good alternative for vegans or those who can't have other types of protein (powders) due to allergies. It is best to combine it with other vegan protein sources to get a more complete protein profile. One thing I'm missing though is a scoop. It's for some reason not included (at least I haven't found it yet). But I just use a scoop from an empty box of another protein powder.

Organic Hemp Oil

Posted on Jul 20, 2014

1 person found the following review helpful

Nice green oil. The taste is good and also easy to hide in smoothies. The reason I had to give it four stars is because of the bottle. You need two hands to squeeze out the oil (at least I do). I guess it is a good solution for clumsy people who tend to knock their oil bottles over all the time since this is "spill proof" but it's a little inconvenient for everyone else.

I haven't used this long enough to know if it is helping me or not, but I do feel a slight increase in my energy levels after taking this in combination with maca and schizandra.
