This is essential for fighting cancer, yet average Westerners aren't aware of the critical connection. If you don't sun yourself 365 days a year for 15 to 30 minutes a day, you're likely in need of D3. Millions of Americans don't get enough D in their diet. Deficiency of D causes dietary calcium not to be absorbed. Adults should take 600 International Units (IU) daily unless you get some robust exposure to strong, blinding sun on a given day. Read about the benefits, cautions and dosing of D at mayoclinic.org > Patient Care & Health Info > "Drugs & supplements A-Z."
Astaxanthin is present only in token quantities in most carotenoid blends

Since many doctors recommend this antioxidant for general eye health and to prevent cataracts, I was baffled to find that Jarrow Formulas CarotenAll has only a meager half a milligram of it in their otherwise well-formulated carotenoid blend. So to maintain eye health, I take Best Astaxanthin 3 mg together with Jarrow's CarotenAll.

My wife and I started using Periobrite and we have absolutely no intention of ever returning to the commonplace, traditional sulfated toothpastes (like Colgate and Crest) ever again. Periobrite is non-foaming, so for better results in brushing, place a small dab of it on your toothbrush, start brushing, and halfway through the process add another small dab.
Two or three heaping teaspoons of it taken directly with a meal having inflammatory elements (such as a pizza) will counter the inflammation and at the same time add a rich amount of fiber. Very easy to take when you're traveling and eating fastfood.
In an article written by a professional in the field, this calcium compound, which combines with citric acid, was recommended for having a good bio-availability percentage rate, around 25%. The mild, weak acidity of citrate signals your stomach not to secrete additional digestive juices, and the calcium product joins your system directly without stomach irritation. We haven't had any problems with this product.
I've been buying this product for many months. Excellent nutrient profile.
Pros versus cons

Advantage is that MaxiLife is derived only from shellfish. Disadvantage is that it's overpriced -- a 40-day supply costs a staggering $48.16. Do your math: another highly reputable company featured on Iherb undercuts Twinlab's price by more than 50 percent. Twinlab would like the public to pony up twice as much as what the product is actually worth.

Take a careful look at the amino acid composition. I've decided to go with a healthier, plant-based protein powder.
Disappointed -- won't repurchase

Although I continue to buy other Garden of Life products, I consider Omega-Zyme a huge blunder. To be quite ernest, it just doesn't produce results, even when I feed myself an excessive five mini-scoop portions. So while Garden of Life gets their act together on enzymes, patients who are in need of a serious, reliable and effective enzyme supplement should use Doctor's Best "Best Digestive Enzymes." This is the one that has worked for me and my extended family.

Great facial product especially for dry climates. Absorbs completely with absolutely no oily surface residue.

Has a light, yummy, fresh-squeeezed taste not unlike a quality extra virgen olive oil. But once it's applied to any given food, such as toast or salads, it tastes identical to more economical brands like Health From the Sun Omega-3 Flax Oil with Lignans. Unless you carry on a ritzy lifestyle, buy the latter, which is equally delicious and save $6.00 a bottle.

Lewis Labs is my preferred brand of brewers' yeast. The key to understanding the quality is in the chemical composition and the beet origin. Extras are: no phosphorus (too much of it in western diets as it is), higher protein and a little PABA for good skin. Do your homework and read up, and then you'll know why this brand excels over others. Mild flavor in coffee or juice -- but my cat likes it straight!
