can't live without it

One of the best lipbalms I've tried so far. I like how there's a subtle fragrance (from the linden oil, I think), and most important of all, the natural ingredients that were use to create this product. No matter how dry my lips are, one swipe of this across my lips provides all the moisture they need. I can't think of the day I might have to live w/o this! :) Strongly recommended, esp. considering its low price!

decent but didn't help too much with my scalp itchiness

It's a good overall shampoo for those with oily scalp and/or hair, considering its price and ingredients and smell, but it didn't help too much with my itchy scalp. But it's different for everyone, so it's prolly just me.

I got a butt lift & cellulite loss instead!

Posted on May 14, 2009

First off, let me be clear that I've only taken these for 3 months... I didn't lose much weight, but I did notice that my waist was tighter, and the bottom half of my body more toned up as a result. The best results showed on my butt - they were toned up so much I lost at least an inch there alone. (I don't think I actually lost any fat, but instead the fats "tightened up", thus giving me the reductions in those areas) My cellulite there's half gone too! Consequently, I feel less puffy, and feel like I have more control over my body shape. Sure, everyone's results may differ, but I'd still recommend this for an overall toning up of your body shape - but do not expect much fat loss, as this is not the function of a CLA. p.s. for some reason, my breast size increased - I think I gained a couple of inches there. But that *might* be because I've gained about 4 kilos since I've last measured them, but it might be the CLA because my boobs usually don't increase in size even if I gained a lot of weight. (I come from a family of flat chested people!) Fyi, pre-CLA, they were about 32.5 inches. Now they're 33.8 inches. (but bear in mind that because my back has become thicker since gaining weight, the inches do not all go to my boobs alone)

one of my favourites

Posted on Feb 06, 2010

I was previously using Reviva's Vitamin E stick and Weleda's everon lip balm, and have decided to try this out because it was so eyecatching. And I had a feeling, for some reason, that this would become my favourite lip balm. Well I was right! This lip balm has a slightly thicker consistency compared to Reviva's Vitamin E stick, but sinks in better than Weleda's (actually, to be fair, the first Everon lip balm I bought from iherb glided on my lips smoothly, but the second batch I ordered turned out to be kind of creamy...as if it didn't harden properly during creation or something, so I'm really comparing it to the sub-par batch...). For those of you who haven't tried any of the lip balms I've mentioned, the consistency is slightly creamier than a chapstick lip balm, yet sinks in faster and lasts longer. It's one of my must-have's in winter!

best whitening toothpaste I've ever used!

Posted on Sep 22, 2014

I've used Colgate's Optic White which didn't change a THING...yet when I was using Jason's, my teeth were INSTANTLY whiter. It's a shame my current toothpaste (Oral-B with novamin) doesn't whiten as much as this one.

really helped my backne/eczema, but you'll go through this quickly

Posted on Sep 22, 2014

- helped clear my backne/eczema (I'm not sure which...as I've never checked it with a dermatologist) greatly. Not completely clear though, but helped to clear at least 30 - 40%, as well as reducing backne/eczema scars - I've only had it for about a month but am already 80% through the bottle. I used it every other day, or 3 days in place of my regular shower gel/soap, so it's not really budget friendly - skin became very smooth - my ingrown hair bumps have smoothed a lot, as well as the rough skin on the soles of my feet I'll definitely repurchase if this came in a more budget-friendly price, OR if they increase effectiveness/salicylic acid strength.

good shampoo, but did not help with my scalp problem

Posted on Feb 06, 2010

I bought this first out of curiosity and later because of the tea tree factor. It suds amazingly well and deep cleanses, but unfortunately still leaves my scalp itchy after I use it. The only shampoo that did the trick was Aveda's Brilliant Shampoo, but I don't wanna go back to commercial brand full of chemicals! (the price is a big issue as well.)

excellent, fragrant oil that's fast absorbing

Posted on Sep 22, 2014

I loved using this oil, which is now sadly discontinued...wonder why? This is quick-absorbing (so fast you won't believe this is a natural oil), fragrant (reminded me of fresh EVOO) and non-greasy. I use one squirt prior to blow-drying my towel-dried hair, and it makes my hair look shiny, healthy and de-frizzed. Hairwise, this outperforms Aveda hair serum (the silicone one), L'Oreal's Elseve defrizzing serum and Palmer's defrizzing serum - the only de-frizzing serums I've used so far. Skinwise though, I found it a little lacking...prolly because it's not greasy enough? I needed to use moisturiser on top of this. (it's now autumn and my skin is combination - slightly dry on the cheeks and slightly oily T-zone) Hope this helps!

Nice, dense and soft brush, but material meh

Posted on Sep 22, 2014

- glue attaching the body of the brush (to the pink holder) became loose and the body fell out only after a couple of uses - brush itself is nice, dense and soft but not firm enough to be called a kabuki brush I think... (I have a Body Shop kabuki brush and it's much firmer than this one despite the two having more or less the same hair length) - plastic cap doesn't stay put - not travel friendly at all I know this brush is only 10 bucks...but I don't think this is worth the money. Sure I can use superglue to re-attach the body but that still doesn't solve the remaining 2 problems... I might have received a dud, so it might be different for the others.

quality seems to differ by the batch

Posted on Sep 22, 2014

The first one I ordered really whitened my teeth, but the second one, not so much. The quality doesn't seem to be consistent. But at any rate, both batches really cleaned my teeth well - I've never used a toothpaste that made my teeth feel so squeaky clean.

triggered my scalp itchiness!

Posted on Feb 06, 2010

not sure if this was just a bad batch, but I developed a serious scalp itchiness, dryness and dandruff right after I started using it. It made my scalp so itchy I was scratching my scalp all day long - it was really embarrassing! I had to throw it out - and I *never* throw things out unless they're really bad. I want to emphasise though, everyone's different so this might just have been me.
