Jason Sea Fresh Spearmint Toothpaste
Posted by Sprinkles on Apr 12, 2009
This is a very nice-tasting toothpaste to use. Soft spearmint flavor; not too strong. It would never burn your mouth like some other mints. This one doesn't do anything for whitening the teeth, however. Also, it has an extremely odd quirk in that the paste doesn't all melt down and foam out - some "clumps" of it stay in your toothbrush instead of all coming out in your mouth while brushing, so at the end, you have to rinse your toothbrush and shake it a couple of times, and the remaining toothpaste will then fall out in the sink in little clumps -- some rinses down the drain easily, but other clumps of it stick to the sink and are hard to get off. Very messy and too much trouble; I will not buy this toothpaste again because of this.

This is a great product. No scent at all. Wonderful for people who are sensitive to fragrances and dyes, and healthier for all people! Just a small dab of the soap lathers up beautifully and cleans wonderfully. Does a great job at the kitchen sink even on greasy foods on hands. It even says it can be used as a shampoo with its balanced pH, but I haven't tried it yet as anything but hand soap. Very impressed. **10/2/2010 UPDATE**: I finally got around to trying this as shampoo, and I have to say it is the very best product I've found, among all the shampoos I've used, for cleaning the hair very well while not drying it out, being fragrance-free, and having very healthy ingredients. I am sold on this product. I didn't expect any suds at all after reading another person's review, but it turns out I do get a very small amount of suds when using it as shampoo. (Suds don't clean at all even though people like them; most products that suds highly are able to do this only from unhealthy ingredients that allow the product to do this.) Could be that I use a bit more of the product than the other person did. It also rinses out super-clean and really fast and leaves the hair feeling clean but not at all stripped like straw, which usually happens with the shampoos that use harsh cleansers. This is an excellent all-around product.
NutriBiotic Original Peppermint Liquid Soap
Posted by Sprinkles on Nov 25, 2009
I bought a bottle of this one and also a bottle of the NutriBiotic Sensitive Skin formula cleanser at the same time. Even though this original formula cleans well and has a very pleasant mild peppermint smell, I choose the Sensitive Skin formula to purchase again in the future because it is a healthier product. It cleans every bit as well, lathers up even better than the original formula with just a pea-size amount, is totally unscented, and has healthier ingredients. The Original formula has sodium laureth sulfate as the main cleanser, which is not good, and I'm not too happy with a couple of the other ingredients as well. In addition, the peppermint oil, even though it smells quite pleasant, is a skin sensitizer to many people and is not a good ingredient for putting on sensitive facial skin. (I guess it wouldn't hurt too much if you only use it as hand soap.) The Sensitive Skin formula is the superior formula with an ingredient list that I am MUCH happier with, and I even use it each evening to cleanse my face and eyes of makeup. It removes all the makeup easily and leaves my skin feeling clean and comfortable, not tight or dry.

This product works!!

My dog's digestion needed help, and we got obvious results with this product. Within one week of starting the enzymes, we no longer see pieces of undigested food in his stool outside - that's positive proof! We hope to see even more beneficial health signs when he's taken it long enough for his body to be able to heal itself more. We give it to him twice a day - once in his morning meal and once in his evening meal.
This one works!

I first tried another brand of black cohosh, Nature's Answer, and it just simply didn't work. I was disappointed but thought I'd give black cohosh one more try with a different brand. I'm glad I did, because I actually got results with this Nature's Way! Also, the capsules are very easy to swallow. I dislike tablets -- they're hard to get down the throat and they normally contain additional excipients that I'd rather not ingest, so I prefer capsules. I would purchase these Nature's Way black cohosh caps again.

Dr. Mercola highly recommends an alpha lipoic acid supplement for its high antioxidant properties, especially taken with Vitamin C shortly before heavy exercising, to keep internal cellular damage to a minimum when over-exerting through exercise. Antioxidants have an "anti-aging" action of sorts also. Vitamin C and alpha lipoic acid are both water-soluble and thus do not hang around in the body for a long time, so it's best to take them shortly before the exercise session so they can do their job properly and help protect you.
Turmeric - Exceptional Product

A+, splendid product. A lot of herbal products out there simply don't seem to have any effect on the body, but THIS one DOES. For example, if you have any effects of carpal tunnel or tendonitis in the wrists/arms, it really does reduce inflammation and make the arms feel better! Turmeric actually has so many beneficial effects on the body I can't even begin to mention them all.
Camomile Lux. Volumizing Shampoo

SUPERB safe, natural product. It smells herbal, not perfumy. Herbals are strong scents, but you get used to it extremely fast and don't notice that after just a few uses. It completely cleans the hair quickly. This one is a thinner liquid, more watery, than the Blue Camomile Hydrating Shampoo, but it doesn't matter; they work pretty much the same. Don't expect any lather! Harmful chemicals in other products are what makes lather, so this brand doesn't have any. It doesn't make any difference in cleaning your hair as lather doesn't clean; it just feels more luxurious when you're actually soaping up. It isn't hard to get this shampoo all through your hair, either. Remember, just don't expect any lather! I love this product. Remember to shake before each use.

Unbelievable soap film residue problem if you have hard water -- I had high hopes for this product after reading so many rave reviews, but I hated it! After one day's usage, I emptied my handsoap bottle and am going to have to throw out the rest of the whole unused bottle of Dr. Bronner's soap. There was an unbelievable soap film residue problem with this product because I live in a state with hard water, and the natural oils of the castile soap react with the hard water minerals to leave a nasty soap film on EVERYTHING it touches. I'm really surprised that I didn't read anything about this problem in the customer reviews. If you have hard water and use this, your sink and tub will look filthy and greasy, and it leaves a very uncomfortable dry-feeling soap scum film on your skin that you feel as soon as you are rinsing the lather off. I believe that if you live in an area without hard water, this would be an outstanding product as it does clean dirt very well and is extremely mild and has no offensive smell at all. Too bad that it reacts so poorly with hard water!!
Contains alcohol and is very greasy at first

I had high hopes for this product because it is one of the rare progesterone products that is not in a cream base (cream isn't the best vehicle for progesterone absorption). Gel is the very best base, but so far almost everyone makes it in cream. I was really looking forward to this Life Flo mist as it is in liquid form, but I was so sorry to see that they put alcohol in it! I actually found that when I rubbed it in vigorously, it caused my skin to warm up and even feel uncomfortably hot from the alcohol if I rubbed too much. And the carriers are oils, which felt extremely oily until it completely sank in, which took a while.
