Hello there!

New to iHerb? Use coupon code TEP756 for up to $10.00 off your first order.

I'm in my 30s, but I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at 12 years old so I've been struggling with related issues for a very long time. Conventional medicine never helped very much, but when I discovered natural medicine and therapeutic foods in 2004, I slowly began to recover and find relief from the endless migraines, chronic pain, hormone imbalances, and mood swings. I'm still on this journey to better health, but I love sharing my experiences with others along the way. I'd love if you used my referral code TEP756 to place an order -- you will get $5 or $10 off your order, and it will help me try more products too. ;)

Works just as well as my Rx did!

I was prescribed some very expensive drugs for chronic asthma problems that have flared up since moving to an urban area and living with 4 cats in 650 sq ft. I couldn't afford to keep shelling out a hundred dollars a month or more for those drugs, plus I was experiencing side effects, but when I stopped taking them, I needed to use my rescue inhaler far too often. Fortunately, I remembered this product from when I worked at a health food store and I ordered a bottle to give it a try. I started taking two of these every evening and I noticed a drastic reduction in how often I would wake up in the morning and need to use my inhaler. When I started taking it morning and night, I didn't have to use my inhaler at ALL except during very rigorous physical exertion. If I forget it for a couple of days, I notice my asthma comes back again. This Ivy extract is obviously working! As a side note, these tablets are very small and easy to swallow, and they don't have a funny taste. (Now I'm seriously thinking about mailing a bottle of the liquid to a friend who has asthmatic children!)

So cool!

This crystal is a brilliant invention. It absorbs odor just as well as (or better than!) baking soda, lasts for much much longer than baking soda (just refresh the stone occasionally by rinsing with water), and takes up less space in the fridge to boot. Can't complain about that! Considering that it replaces up to 6 boxes of baking soda, this is more economical too and reduces packaging waste.

I was diagnosed with bipolar II about 10 years ago but found that the drugs were too strong for my particular issues and had too many side effects (in fact, my doctor and I discovered that antidepressants were causing this so-called bipolar disorder). As a result, I made some lifestyle changes and turned to nutritional supplements to help with the mood issues. Calm & Calmer was probably the 5th "stress relief" supplement I tried, and the only one that A) always made me feel better and B) didn't make me sleepy. As a result, I've been taking it for six or seven years. I think it also helps me control my stress eating. I love this stuff, and it's helped a lot of other people too -- I recommend it all the time to friends and family who need something to control their stress and anxiety levels.

This filter has saved my skin & my sanity... but didn't last 15 months.

The chlorine smell emanating from my showerhead was really stressing me out. Not just emotionally (worrying about chlorine in the water... yuck!) but it was stressing out my skin and hair too. Well, I discovered this shower filter, and I am SO glad I made the investment. No longer do we feel like we're showering in a swimming pool, and my skin and hair are much tamer and less dried out. I just wish that this filter would work as long as the company claims. My first unit seemed to die within a few months, so I contacted the people at Rainshow'r. I sent them a nice email asking what I could do to make my filter last longer, and within a day, I actually got a *phone call* from the owner/inventor of these products! He was very nice and explained how they worked, etc. He also said that my filter SHOULD still be functional, and then he sent me a new one for free! That's some great customer service. Unfortunately, the replacement cartridge lasted a little longer than the first, but not even close to the rating the company specifies (15 - 18 mos). This may be because of our horribly chlorinated, mineral-heavy water here in Los Angeles -- it might be too much for the filter to handle. For this reason, I'm giving the filter 4 stars. I still love the product but I wish it would last longer than the 3-6 months that it worked. All considered, I still feel this filter is a good value and probably the best filter for the money. Rainshow'r stands behind their products, too, which is kind of rare these days. I'm going to try the refillable filter they make and see if it works any better in my house.

I really wanted to like MoreFiber, but...

...unfortunately, I had a bad experience with this product. I'm not sure how this happened, but my container was rancid upon opening despite being stored in a dark, cool, dry place. I bought it in August 2010 but doesn't expire until 12/11, so I know iHerb didn't sell me outdated stock, but it was rancid regardless. I smelled a very strong rancid oil/grain smell the moment I opened the seal. I even tried baking with it (thinking it might've been my imagination,) but that was a bad idea. It ruined my whole pan of lemon bars with the rancid taste. I'm not sure if I got a bad batch or what. I think I'm going to write NuNaturals and give them the lot number and ask if they've had any other problems with this product. I'm not sure if I'm going to give this one a second try.

I love the how this scrub works and how it smells! It is truly a candy-like peppermint scent... so yummy. It has a great texture -- creamy and not too scratchy, but scrubby enough to polish my rough wintry legs & feet (oh, and I use it on my elbows too!) It's also moisturizing but not terribly oily on my shower floor. PS: It's great to use before shaving... it banishes scaly legs and it helps me get a closer shave, too. Now I can't wait to try the foot cream... AND I hope iherb decides to carry the Candy Mint Foot Stick at some point too... those three products would make a wonderful gift basket for birthdays or the holidays. :)

So far this has been a great brush, in the month I've owned it. I love the feel of the wood handle and the brush has a nice texture -- scrubs well without bruising or cutting the skin of delicate fruit.

Not just for babies!

Due to allergies, I avoid most scented products. Dryer sheets and fabric softeners in general are especially irritating to me. When I lived in a more humid climate this wasn't such a big deal (adding vinegar to my wash seemed to soften well enough) but after moving to SoCal I noticed more and more static, and finally decided to give these dryer cloths a try. I can't compare them to commercial products because I haven't used those in so long, but they certainly keep my clothing from sticking together, and I love the scent -- reminds me a little bit of Burt's Bees milk & honey lotion. I use one sheet for 2-3 loads and it works really well for me, and the fragrance hasn't seemed to irritate my skin or lungs yet. Thumbs up!

really elegant solution for solo tea-drinkers.

For those times when I don't want to make a full pot of tea, I love this little infuser. It allows my loose leaf teas to infuse freely, plus I can drink straight from the cup once I remove the insert with the used tea leaves. I actually prefer to drink from glass mugs anyway (I love being able to see the tea!) so this is a definitely perk. I just hope my clumsiness doesn't kick in so I can keep this infuser for a long, long time -- for now I'm handling it very carefully, handwashing only, and I only stir with wooden implements (I use a chopstick) to avoid clinking on the glass.

good everyday moisturizer with no weird smell

Posted on Sep 03, 2014

I love this moisturizer because it never feels heavy or greasy, never irritates my skin, and doesn't smell funky! I have sensitive combination skin (I'm in my 30s) and a lot of creams just don't work for me. So many creams contain a chemical that burns my face or they're too greasy/oily -- not the EFAs Cream. Reliable! I don't need moisturize all the time on all of my face either, but I do get dry patches at times (especially in the winter or when i'm visiting the desert). This cream is perfectly light and comfortable to wear, even in the summer, as long as I don't put it on my oily spots.

A simple cough drop that soothes

These taste very similar to other mentholated cough drops but the honey center sets them apart. The honey really soothes the throat and suppresses coughing for a short while.

One of my fave snacks

Great flavor and not too tough to chew (I have TMJD so I appreciate this.) A really tasty snack with a good nutritional profile! Wish it was a little less expensive but it's not too bad considering the price of most jerky these days. I wouldn't mind if it they made it a little less salty and sweet but I appreciate having a high-protein, shelf-stable snack that's not a sweet protein bar (plus I don't have to share these with my partner, because she's a vegetarian -- more for me!)
