Hello there!

New to iHerb? Use coupon code TEP756 for up to $10.00 off your first order.

I'm in my 30s, but I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at 12 years old so I've been struggling with related issues for a very long time. Conventional medicine never helped very much, but when I discovered natural medicine and therapeutic foods in 2004, I slowly began to recover and find relief from the endless migraines, chronic pain, hormone imbalances, and mood swings. I'm still on this journey to better health, but I love sharing my experiences with others along the way. I'd love if you used my referral code TEP756 to place an order -- you will get $5 or $10 off your order, and it will help me try more products too. ;)

so versatile, so fresh!

Posted on Apr 04, 2012

I have tried several different brands of coconut oil but I've found this is the most delicious and fresh-tasting I've had, probably because Nutiva is local to iHerb. I highly recommend it to all my friends for eating, cooking, adding to drinks, or for using on skin. I recently mixed it into crushed oatmeal for a wonderful, moisturizing scrub, and eliminated dry patches on my face. Another favorite use? I coat a hot waffle iron with this coconut oil using a silicone basting brush to keep sweet waffle recipes from sticking. It works great, never leaves residue, and never burns!

Really impressed with this stuff.

I love coffee but my body doesn't really appreciate caffeine's after-effects. Jitters, anxiety, edginess, sweating... not to mention the harshness of its acidity on my stomach. I have always been sensitive, so as much as I love it, I can't drink coffee on a daily basis. I've tried some other substitutes including decaf and Teeccino, but they weren't very satisfying to me. Teeccino is pretty decent in the French press, but not something I crave every day like coffee. Dandy Blend is actually quite tasty though! I enjoy stirring it in to frothed milk to make a delicious instant latte. It's nice that it is a powder and therefore easily prepared, too.

Really like this!

Great texture, natural neutral color on me, and smells/tastes nice--can't ask for much more than that. I also buy Burt's Bees lip shimmer but this is a great alternative (and is less expensive too!) Highly recommend if you like a sheer lip color with natural ingredients.

Great little scoop!

Especially great for laundry because it sticks on the side of the washer, but tempted to get one for the kitchen as well. The strong magnets really hold on nicely, too. It's simple and easy to use, and does what it's supposed to do!

Waste not, want not

I used to dread making anything that called for buttermilk. Don't get me wrong, I love the flavor that real buttermilk imparts (I prefer it to the substitutions with lemon juice or vinegar) but I always felt wasteful when the remainder of the carton didn't get used before spoiling. Saves a TON of money! Now I keep this on hand at all times -- I actually store it in a Weck jar in the fridge -- and I am able to whip up fresh buttermilk whenever I want without any excess left. Love it and HIGHLY recommend to people who love to bake.

great refresher for everyday use!

Posted on Sep 03, 2014

I use this often in various ways. My main use is to spritz on over my vitamin C serum if I want a little bit of hydration but using a lotion + sunscreen would be too heavy. It seems to calm my skin and hydrate without leaving my skin tacky. It dries clean and smooth and makes a nice base for applying sunscreen. I also use this at any time of the day that I need a pick-me-up. If I'm feeling hot and sweaty and stressed out, I spritz this on my face and shoulders and I feel so much better. Tip: keep this in the fridge to make it even more calming and pleasant in hot weather! I had a coworker "of a certain age" and she used this trick to keep her hot flashes more manageable -- dousing herself with this spray whenever she felt one come on. Rose is known to be an aromatherapeutic stress-reliever and hormone balancer, and I'm a believer. I don't think the rose scent is overbearing at all and it fades very quickly, IMHO. It's not my favorite rosewater per se (I also have a pure damascena rosewater that's amazing if I want to enjoy the rose scent) but I like that Reviva mixes rosewater with some other great ingredients like hyaluronic acid (which helps to keep moisture in the skin) in this particular facial spray. Oh, and one last thing... I am pale and sunburn easily. I had a half bottle of this left and mixed it with pure George's Aloe Vera juice and it is INCREDIBLE for sunburn. Especially straight from the fridge, applied liberally every hour or so.

neat device!

This product really works to blend protein shakes with no residual powder clumps, and it is a great size too--it fits well in my female hands. It closes nice and tight too, with no leaks. Also works great on salad dressings, I might add! Much better than the typical shaker you get in the grocery store. I'm tempted to get the smaller size just for that purpose.

Versatile and delicious!

Posted on Oct 13, 2013

I bought this to use in my breakfast smoothies, and it does work well mixed up in a Nutribullet with some greens, berries, protein powder and nuts, and it also makes great raw candy when mixed with things like coconut, coconut oil and nuts, but I've found that the raw cacao also works well in ordinary baking recipes that call for cocoa powder. For example, I just made a 1960s-era chocolate sheet cake (sometimes called a "Texas sheet cake") and it worked perfectly! I couldn't tell the difference between my cake made with this product and the normal cake I ate growing up. I will definitely keep buying this!

really elegant solution for solo tea-drinkers.

Posted on Jan 28, 2013

For those times when I don't want to make a full pot of tea, I love this little infuser. It allows my loose leaf teas to infuse freely, plus I can drink straight from the cup once I remove the insert with the used tea leaves. I actually prefer to drink from glass mugs anyway (I love being able to see the tea!) so this is a definitely perk. I just hope my clumsiness doesn't kick in so I can keep this infuser for a long, long time -- for now I'm handling it very carefully, handwashing only, and I only stir with wooden implements (I use a chopstick) to avoid clinking on the glass.

Don't mind the passive-aggressive brand name

Posted on Jan 28, 2013

These are great baking cups. I have a favorite bran muffin recipe that sticks aggressively to normal baking cups, but with these cups, the muffins never stick! I have also used Reynolds Foil or StayBrite cups from the grocery store but they are pricey (about 2-3x the price of these) and I felt wasteful using the foil and paper hybrid cups. With these you get a clean & natural look and excellent performance, which suits me just fine.

These are really shockingly tasty!

Posted on Apr 04, 2012

I never expected to like these as well as I do -- like other reviewers say, these are best when coated with a slightly acidic dressing. I love using a peanutty Asian sauce that I make with nut butter, tamari, rice vinegar, honey, and other yummy goodness, then toss them with cabbage and other veggies to make a delicious salad. So yummy! Also very tasty when made as a Vietnamese noodle bowl with hot toppings like tofu, grilled chicken, etc. Excellent low-calorie noodle option.

Tasty!

Posted on Apr 12, 2012

Another reviewer was right -- these do taste a bit like Fritos, but more hearty and harder to chew. In a good way. ;) Love munching on these instead of chips. They tasted really fresh too -- sometimes with snack food like this, the corn or the cooking oil is rancid, but that was not the case with these. Yum!
