It's supposed to be fine for gluten intolerant people

Posted on Feb 13, 2014

I just opened my first jar of this and noticed it said that it contained gluten and was made from wheat berries. I was dismayed, because I've taken other brands of L-glutamine and I know they were gluten free. So I just did a search and found the following information, hopefully it will reassure some others who are afraid to take this: Is GlutImmune safe for those with a gluten or wheat allergy? GlutImmune is enzymatically derived from red wheat berries, and the resulting hydrolysis activity reduces the gluten molecule to a point where it seems to eliminate any intolerance for wheat sensitive individuals. It doesn't taste that bad, either. Not as bland as regular L-glutamine, but still, it's not terrible. Glutamine is one of those things that definitely does not need to be encapsulated, especially when most companies add flow agents in order to do so. I am going to try it because it gets such great reviews and will update my review after a few weeks.

Seems to suppress appetite

Posted on Jul 31, 2011

I've only been taking this for a few days now, but yesterday I noticed that I wasn't very hungry. I didn't even know that this is an appetite suppressant, but hopefully it will last. My only problem is that I'm eating my way through a divorce and so I eat when I'm not hungry sometimes. I will repost if I notice any other results.

Finally something natural that works!

Posted on Jul 31, 2011

I'm one of those people who has a collection of deodorants in my bathroom, but this one I'm going to stick with. It doesn't work as well as a brand like Secret, which lasts for a few days, and this only seems to last for about a day, but I don't worry about using this stuff the way I do with Secret - I mean, WHY does Secret last for days? Because it's blocking pores with scary chemicals!

Really works!

This works much better than the crystals themselves, and is easier to use.

For depression, arthritis AND Liver!

Posted on Jul 18, 2011

I took this for depression a while ago and it seemed to make a difference. Imagine my surprise when the vet said it would help my dog's liver failure! So now she's taking it, along with medication and milk thistle and a special diet, and I'll post the results in a month or two. So far now 3 vets have told me that SAMe is critical for my dog's liver failure problem (hepatitis), along with milk thistle and vitamin E. (I also have her on schizandra, sarsparilla, licorice, artichoke and a vitamin B supplement, recommended by a vet), as well as a special liver diet (white fish and organic brown rice and veggies 2x per day, and organic chicken liver with rice 1x per day). My dog seems to be doing better, though I don't think we're out of the woods yet. I've also started taking the SAMe again, and have noticed an instant uplift in mood. (I take St. John's wort, too, and I don't notice any changes like that.) July 18, 2011: My 11 year old Malamute was diagnosed with liver failure in September. I gave her SAMe (switched brands to Source Naturals SAMe a couple of months ago because of ingredients), plus other supplements (see above) and later on dandelion root, and two days ago blood tests came back that her liver values are perfectly normal. I am so pleased. BTW, I learned that dogs should not have licorice or too much vitamin E, which is similar to selenium, so just be careful.

I LOVE this stuff

Posted on Jul 31, 2011

This has become another supplement that I love. It provides the benefits of absorbable magnesium with extra vitamin C, D, and boron. Drinking powdered vitamin C is great for sore throats because vitamin C is a very powerful anti-inflammatory, and vitamin D is important for so many things (just read about a link between vitamin D deficiency and chronic pain.) And it can't hurt to have extra boron, which is also important. I highly recommend this supplement. Take it before bed to relax your muscles.

Microscopic!

Posted on Aug 31, 2012

Get your magnifying glass out if you're ordering this product - it's a teeny, tiny bottle. (Somehow I thought I was ordering a 1 ounce bottle). It seems to be good stuff though, but it probably won't last long. The larger size for $22 is definitely a better deal.

Tastes awful, but great ingredients!

Posted on Aug 04, 2011

I bought this because I learned that a lot of vitamin C comes from corn, which is not ideal. I love the idea that this comes from organic fruit. I've been taking the capsules for a while, and so this brand seems great. I take too many capsules though, so powders are a great option.

I love this stuff

I use cacao powder in smoothies and I love it because I can eat chocolate without feeling guilty. I put a little frozen banana, some water (or I make almond milk first), and a raw egg in with some raw cacao and it's very good.

Tastes pretty good

Posted on Nov 04, 2011

I had tried the Cocoa Ceps while fighting a cold and I thought it wasn't too bad tasting (with honey), then I opened one of these thinking I was going to have a cup of hot cocoa and instead got coffee! I wish I had had some cream to taste it the way I normally take my coffee, but I had to drink it black. I think with cream it would probably taste great, but then again, I have never been able to understand why people drink black coffee (what is the point?) so I can't really give it a fair review. I think the concept is great, though, and I do think these drinks help to boost the immune system.

Work very well

These work just as well as the Organika brand I've taken for years. I'm very impressed.

I haven't noticed a great difference since taking these, but I think they're helping.
