Kind to skin
Posted by TropicalUrbanite on Mar 18, 2015
Medium-high coverage and moderately moisturizing. Enough to blend out pores and pimple marks. Spreadable, even if it dries fast. Blends in nicely on my tropical Asian skin tone. Average Japanese/ Korean/ Caucasian will find Light/medium slightly on the tanned side. I used it both in Singapore and in travels to extreme cold/hot countries. Surprisingly it doesn't turn my face into an oil rig despite the moisturizing quality and a natural looking dewy finish. For whole day wear, just some powdering around the nose and forehead is sufficient on my hyper-oily skin type. Doesn't have weird smell even without fragrance, just subtle "basic" kaolin clay kind of scent. I like healthy, clean, harsh-chemical-free product like this. Hope there will be more of this organic wear line. Buying another tube to stock up. Will recommend this to those with sensitive/ oily skin, or those looking for beauty without long term harm.

This is indicated for joint pains but I got this as a general-purpose travel anti-toxin supplement. Great for traveller's stomach/ digestive ailments, mouth ulcers, kills intestinal parasites and boosts immune system. And great to use the powder to disinfect or stop bleeding on small cuts. Wonder why there aren't more brands making them in capsules. This one is good enough. Will buy this again when I run out.
Good enouogh family cabinet basic

I'm an essential oil collector. This is not the top range nor best smelling pure wintergreen oil. But pure, good value and effective enough nonetheless. I use it diluted 3:1 with olive/coconut base oil to manage headache PMS muscle ache or rashes. Highly effective pain killer, better and safer than aspirin/salicylate, which is the synthetic wannabe clone of wintergreen. Do not use it neat on skin - will burn. Safer dilution is 4:1 onwards.
I've been buying this brand. Price is better than other palm sugar on iherb. Tastes authentic, with some coconuty overtone. Use it in my coffee, tea, baking, even cooking. Color is deep and rich. Bits of dark colored residue plant parts may float in my latte as one would expect of natural/organic/unrefined sugars so no big deal. Generally speaking the more brownness a "natural sugar" has, the more mineral content, and the less sweetening effect. So need to put 50% more volume than brown sugar to get same sweetness. Has other health benefits too, some South East Asians use this 'plant flower juice' as a cough syrup.
Don't Change The Formula Please

Ideal grain size, good rinse-ability. Skin feels clean yet moisturized after. I use it to wash off thicker makeup. Feel gentle, smells pleasant enough, skin doesn't turn into oil rig soon after as with other brand of scrubs. Hope they won't change the natural and nutritious formula.
Good value and clean

Color is accurately represented by product pic shown, with a tad more pastel opaqueness. Pastel peach with orange overtone. Will give natural matte look on fair to medium skin tone with light/medium color lips. Darker tone skin/ lips will get a fluorescent peach "matte highlight" result. Texture is a good balance between smooth enough glide and not so moist that it fades quickly. Staying power is medium. Overall this liner is good value for its price and toxin/ dye-free cleanness. I'm happy with it and will buy again.
Matte Medium Brown
Very close to the lighter bits on the pic shown. I was looking for a basic brown. This is a neutral and matte enough med brown if you're looking for a brown with no glitter or frostiness. The brown is not reddish so those with really light to fair skin could even use this as eyebrow filler. Stackable and spreadable. Cons: Wish it was a pressed cake; Larenim could improve their packaging - plastic lid is tedious to twist open and close esp after multiple use.
Good product, horrible plastic tube packaging

I like all the Acure Organic shampoos I've tried so far, this one included. Tend to be gentler on the scalp. But I seriously dislike the tube packaging. It's not just the fact the product only fill up to 60%- 70% of the tube volume. It's not just the annoying need to fumble with the hard-to-close tube lid after you squeeze out your shampoo/ conditioner in the shower. It's not even the upside down cap's tendency to retain splashed water. Or that the retained water + conditioner is a recipe for mold breeding if you don't use it up fast enough... It's the CHEAP PLASTIC - which breaks and tear easily if your bathroom has temperature change/ heater, or dry/wet cycle. Sounds like most bathrooms right? Yep. So if you don't use it up fast enough eventually the tube would suddenly tear when you squeeze it. So far I had 2 Acure Organic shampoo and conditioner tearing incidents. This means transfering the leftover to tiny bottles or throwing it away. I use the AO scrub too also packaged in the horrible tube, but because it's not exposed to water slashing, and probably because I use/squeeze it only twice a week, the tube is still intact. This is not the first nor the last customers complain about the tube packaging. I will stop buying AO tube shampoo/ conditioners and stick to the bottled one from now on until there's a change. 5 star for product quality, minus 2 stars for inconsiderate packaging.
Nice smooth texture, may not be dark/tan enough for most tan Asians

Has a dewy glow effect, definitely not matte. It does feel moisturizing, medium coverage, spreads easily enough with a dense foundation brush. Still, oily skin like mine will shine and cake after a few hours. The supposed pore-shrinking effect is relative. Those with small pores will get smoother highlight result, but those with medium pores like mine will have pores emphasized, typical of glow sheen foundation. The medium-peach color is ideal for typical Chinese Singaporeans or tanned Japanese, but may be too light for medium-tan tropical Asians. I use a under layer of pure mineral to tone down the sheen, delay oil output, and balance the color.
Pleasant enough taste
Its important to me supplement tablets taste ok so I will take them more regularly. This brand is good, and price point is right, the additives are not weird nor nasty, and these also taste like the yummy yeast powder I bought for seasoning/ shake. I use them like a multi-vit with immune-boosting power, definitely take extra when travelling or during flu season. Underestimated stuff.
Light yet effective

I have long fine hair with oily scalp. This conditioner is surprisingly light but effective in detangling hair. Doesn't feel "moisturizing" in the creamy sort of way, but definitely gives shine and bounce. The scent is light herbal. I wash my hair almost daily, sometime alternate my shampoo/conditioner. I use this as a quick rinse when I don't need to blow dry or over-coat my hair. I have found from many trials and errors that to prevent itchy oily scalp the shampoo matters more than the conditioner. I use Himalaya Rejuvenating and Volumizing for effective oil control. Acure Organics are second best in this regard. These are the two most consistency oily-scalp friendly shampoo brand/type so far, on iherb anyway. Buying more to stock up.
Top Quality Wintergreen Essential Oil
Posted by TropicalUrbanite on Jan 09, 2016
This one has a higher grade scent than the Now brand wintergreen oil (though both are effective medicinally). I have bought two of Heritage one so far. One for my parents migraine/ arthritis pain management. My father has reduced his aspirin intake since using this oil externally. I dab a tiny finger tip onto my occasional swollen gum before sleep and it works like magic (some toothpaste, chewing gum, mouthwash contain natural wintergreen oil). Wintergreen's synthetic/ synthesized counterpart is aspirin a.k.a. Methyl salicylate or "oil of wintergreen" (don't you just love how cunning that naming choice is). But why take the artificial isolate, mostly derived from petrol chemical, when there is wholistic natural version from the tree? A fast acting, general safe topical analgesic/ pain-killer. I also Definitely a family cabinet staple. I have tried a few Heritage products and can confirm their quality. Happy to have found another true wintergreen essential oil on iHerb.
