i buy this tea for the old lady for the sole purpose of food and cosmetic use. she likes to put matcha in her facial masks and in some of her japanese desserts that she concocts. i highly question the "artisan" quality that is stamped onto this tin. this is nothing more than food grade matcha in a cleverly printed 3oz can. first off, the tea has a brown hue instead of a vibrant green essence and it smelled quite stale, bordering on putrid. i scooped a few grams from my chashaku into my chawan and threw in around five ounces of some 175 degree filtered water. took a 120 bristle chasen and whisked for around 30 seconds....... no froth. it was the first time that i experienced a matcha that contained no volume and wouldn't hold a creamy froth on its top layer. dumped bowl and redid the same procedure from above, except this time used an 80 bristle chasen to whisk. still..... no froth. this was borderline amazing, and i was horrified to even take a sip of it. this was more like a scientific experiment to measure the quality of the powder that was sedentary in the container. at least the can is useful and this matcha has found its ways into practical methods that don't spell ingestion

i have drank matchas ranging all over the spectrum, from fifty to seventy dollar an ounce, elite japanese masterpieces, to the fifteen to twenty dollar tins that are currently sitting on the shelve of your local neighborhood health food store. for me to compare this to a pinnacle grade matcha tea would be downright unfair, because this is far from it. this is an entry level, lower grade powder. when reading the box, there is no detail to where this tea is actually grown. it just says japanese style. it is either grown in china (lower grade matcha usually comes from china) or japan. initial impression on opening up the tea is that there is a heavy presence of a brown hue that permeates the plastic wrap. this rampant oxidation is usually a sign of improper storage conditions. the scent was not off-putting. it was mild, with slight reminders of spinach, chard and soil. i took the proper steps in preparing a proper bowl of matcha. preheated my chawan, sifted powder, heated water to about 170 degrees. once i poured around five ounces of water in my bowl, i used a 120 bristle chasen to whisk. the powder developed a nice lather, with minimal effort. initial flavor was that it was not a very balanced tea. it had more oceanic tones than earthy, with an astringent finish, but not too bitter where it is unpalatable. the texture was incredibly thin, bordering on transparent, with no umami quality to coat your tongue. if making this tea straight up, i would not go above two scoops from your chashaku per 6 ounces of water, and definitely keep water at or below 175 degrees. anything over that, and this tea is gonna turn way too light or monotone, and might be too bitter and flat for most. this tea is great for people who are brand new to the matcha game, or who want to delve into it to get some kind of perspective on the art form. also good for those who are going to mix this in a blender or beverage with other ingredients

it only took me four years to find out how i could go to bed without putting socks on. i take 6 to 10 drops sporadically in the course of a day and love the energy that this provides me. just be sure not to take it before hitting the bed because you will be staring at the ceiling counting sheep.

if you take this for anti-glycation purposes, use it after an intense workout, or just because you are an anti-aging seeker, then you picked the correct supplement. concentrations of this dipeptide are found in things like red meat, so if you are a vegetarian, it helps to add this to your regiment. i use this before and after weightlifting for added boost and a quicker rebound/recovery

this is the best deal i could find for the ajipure, branched chain amino acid powder. this is unflavored, so it doesn't contain anything too egregious in the way of artificial flavorings or fillers. i prefer this to creatine, as my body absorbs this much better without any unfavorable qualities. the taste can be an issue as BCAA's have an odd flavor that can be deemed unpalatable to most, so i just chase it really quickly with some filtered water and get no remnants of an unpleasant, lingering smack to my tastebuds. this is not just for bodybuilders or people who are on an exertion kick. have a vegetarian friend taking this to improve his amino acid uptake and energy levels. getting positive feedback from him

like the fact that the cotton in these rounds is organic, and there is no skin irritation stemming from using these, but when you put any liquid on the round and apply it to your face, the round comes apart, and leaves cotton lint traces everywhere. it becomes more of a hassle to try and get the lint off your face than whatever you were trying to clean off in the first place. stick with the swisspers cotton balls. much better product

your archetypal, entry level grade, organic matcha from japan. comes in a metal canister which is sealed at the top. just pop the tab, and peel back the aluminum lid, as if it were an inexpensive jar of nuts. the color of the matcha was actually much brighter and vibrant than 95% of the matchas sold on this site. as for flavor, i would say its definitely on the bland side, lacking sweetness and balance, but had a decent amount of umami considering the price point. this would work well for people who like to mix matcha into beverages or for use as a culinary enhancer. its also inexpensive to the point where you could drink it everyday without breaking the piggy bank. matcha is great for the skin when applied externally. take like a tablespoon of powder and filtered water, and slowly drop in your water from a dropper, until you get a smooth paste. apply, let dry, like 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse off. also works as a natural sunscreen if you want to place a fair amount in a lotion bottle. just beware that it will change the color of your skin

been taking biosil for years, back to when jarrow was stamping their name on the bottle. im pretty sure it is the same orthosilicic formula after all these years, because my nails and hair have stayed in consistently good condition. the capsule version is definitely not as cost effective as the liquid, and if you cannot get past the odd/funky taste of the liquid, even masked in something sweet like fruit juice, then it is this pill version you should take.

try this on your skin everyday and you will be amazed at the results. helps reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and dry skin. it makes for a fantastic cooking oil and has an extremely high heat tolerance. much better to cook with this than vegetable oil, nut oils, and canola. i prefer this over the standard nutiva coconut oil. very nice quality

after a few weeks of usage, my breathing cycle is less obstructed and i feel that im taking in a little more oxygen. this is difficult to do in a city like los angeles so every little bit of o2 i can get is beneficial. my hair and nails seem to be growin a little quicker but that could be my imagination or from other supplements.

a few years back, i discovered that i was living in a house with mold. it was terrible......... experiencing allergy like symptoms during non allergy times of the year, and never understood why i was sneezing and wheezing constantly. when i diagnosed the problem, i started mega dosing with vitamin C, NAC and a few other glutathione precursors. in doing this, it gave me my health back to where i could regain some semblance of my life. i like the idea for the sustained release, but i also used other standard version forms of NAC. i found this version allowed me to swallow less pills over the course of a day, and became a little more cost effective in the long run. these type of supplements are fantastic to counter the effects of our polluted and contaminated world
