Contains benzyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, sodium benzoate and may irritate dry and sensitive skin.

Not a cream you would recommend for dry, irritated and sensitive skin. Benzyl alcohol is a solvent, preservative and viscosity decreasing agent known to be an immunotoxicant, skin irritant and allergen, cetyl alcohol is a surfactant and emulsion stabilizer suspected to be an environmental toxin, human allergen and skin irritant, sodium benzoate is a preservative expected to be toxic, dangerous and harmful. Even though this cream does have some safe, natural and beneficial ingredients, such as sunflower seed, rosemary, lavender and sage oils, aloe vera leaf juice, manuka honey and calendula, yucca and pansy extracts, sodium benzoate, benzyl alcohol and acetyl alcohol are more than enough to irritate my dry, sensitive and delicate skin. Not something I would order again.

Marula oil: a rare gem on iHerb.

One of the most amazing oils I've ever tried. In Africa marula oil known as the miracle oil. What makes it super to other liquid oils is that it's exceptionally high in antioxidants, pH-balanced, non-comedogenic (it's one of the very few non-comedogenic oils), suitable for all skin and hair types, doesn't form a film on the skin, clog pores, or make it look greasy, which is particularly important for people with oily, combination, or prone to acne skin. High in vitamins C, E, oleic acid, linoleic, palmitic, stearic fatty acids, and flavonoids, it deeply moisturizes, nourishes, softens, soothes, protects, revitalizes, regenerates, and heals the skin, reducing redness and inflammation, improving its elasticity, making its soft, smooth, and supple, preventing dryness and dehydration, evening out the skin tone, improving the complexion, protecting against premature aging, calming itching, helping get rid of acne, blemishes, rashes, eczema, dermatitis, as well as many other skin and hair conditions. It also prevents and reduces stretch marks and scars, relieves pain caused by sunburn and peeling skin, heals sore and chapped lips, small wounds, cuts, burns, smoothes out fine lines and wrinkles, restores luster to dull and lifeless hair. Since I started using this marula oil, I've noticed that my complexion has improved, my skin has become softer and smoother, redness and inflammation is gone, my acne has cleared up, my hair is healthier, some fine lines have faded. So glad I discovered this amazing product and thanks to iHerb for carrying it.

Unlike many other shampoos, this one is vegetarian, biodegradable, color-safe, and free of sulfates, parabens, petroleum, phthalates, PEGs, EDTA, silicon, gluten, phenoxyethanol, BPA, diaxane, toxic chemicals, dangerous additives, harsh preservatives or fragrances, never tested on animals, and contains some safe, natural, plant derived, and organic ingredients: non-GMO coconut and beet sugar derived decyl glucoside and sodium lauroyl lactylate are safe surfactants and emulsifying agents gently cleansing the scalp and hair, unclogging hair follicles, drawing out excess dirt, oil and product buildup, removing impurities and dead skin cells without stripping the scalp's protective layer, glyceryl caprylate and glyceryl undecylenate are safe hair conditioning agents, sodium phytate is a harmless chelating agent, organic aloe vera leaf juice soothes, tones and heals the scalp, calms itching, reduces redness and inflammation, organic rice extract, non-GMO sodium cocoyl hydrolyzed soy protein and organic rice extract, as well as non-organic horsetail and coltsfoot leaf extracts (not very likely to be GMO) repair dry and damaged hair, protecting it at the cellular level and restoring its elasticity, strengthen the root bulbs and follicle connection, improve cellular circulation, stimulate cell renewal and regeneration, keratin production, and hair growth, prevent dandruff, flakiness, scalp infections, and hair loss, add volume at the root, provide body and shine, radish root ferment filtrate derived from Leuconostoc kimchii, the bacterium used to make kimchi (a traditional fermented Korean side dish made of vegetables with a variety of seasonings), is a natural preservative and great alternative to phenoxyethanol and paraben preservatives, organic sweet almond and rose seed oils deeply moisturize and nourish the scalp, lock in moisture and prevent dryness and dehydration, xanthan gum is a natural binder, emulsion stabilizer and viscosity controlling agent. This product does, however, contain some non-organic ingredients, such as glycerin as an emollient and hair conditioning agent, and vitamins C and E as preservatives, which are most likely to be synthetically produced and genetically modified (it's not specified that they're non-GMO). Non-organic grepefruit and apple fruit cell culture extracts may be genetically modified, as well. It also contains alcohol denat., which may irritate dry and sensitive scalp and cause allergic reactions. In addition to all this, it doesn't lather and tangles my hair, making it heavy, dull, flat and impossible to comb. Overall, it's not a bad product and safer alternative to mainstream shampoos full of toxic chemicals, allergens, endocrine disruptors, and carcinogens, but it may not be suitable for people with dry and sensitive scalp and could be much better and safer if all its ingredients, especially vitamins C and E, were 100% organic and non-GMO. It may work for some people, but I don't think I would order it again.

The best raw unrefined shea butter on iHerb.

100% pure raw unrefined shea butter with no additives, preservatives, or colorants, with a pleasant nutty aroma. Unlike many other shea butters, this one is pure, raw, unrefined, doesn't contain any additives or preservatives, such as vitamin E, which may be genetically modified, and has a soft and creamy non-grainy texture, making it very easy to scoop up a dollop, rub it between the fingers to melt it a bit (and it melts perfectly thanks to its non-grainy texture), and apply it to the skin. Shea butter is one of the most amazing natural skincare and haircare products known to man. It's renowned for its exceptional moisturizing, nourishing, protective, soothing, healing, anti-inflammatory, regenerative, rejuvenating properties, as well as being a powerful antioxidant rich in vitamins A, E, and catechins, preventing premature aging. It absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue, deeply moisturizes and nourishes the skin, improves its elasticity, making its soft, smooth, and supple, prevents dryness and dehydration, evens out the skin tone, improves the complexion, calms itching, reduces irritation and inflammation, facilitates healing, fights acne, blemishes, rashes, eczema, dermatitis, prevents and reduces stretch marks and scars, relieves pain caused by sunburn and peeling skin, heals sore and chapped lips, small wounds, cuts, burns, smoothes out fine lines and wrinkles, restores luster to dull and lifeless hair, acts as a natural sunscreen. I've been using this shea butter for a few weeks, but the results speak for themselves: my complexion has improved, some stretch marks, small scars, and even fine lines have faded, my skin has become softer and smoother and has a healthy glow, my lips are no longer dry, chapped, and sore, the skin on my elbows and feet is softer and smoother than ever, my hair is shiny, I don't have any split ends, my scalp is healthier, no more flakes and itchiness (I make a hair mask with shea butter). So glad I discovered this amazing unrefined shea butter and would recommend it to anyone wanting to improve the overall condition of their skin or hair.

Ancient Mayans' best kept beauty secret. The best unrefined rosehip seed oil on iHerb.

I've tried several rosehip seed oils of different brands, but this one simply stands out: it's orange, comes from Chile and has a distinct rose hip aroma, which proves that it's cold pressed, unrefined, organic, hasn't been altered by heat and stripped of its naturally occurring nutrients, vitamins, antioxidants and fatty acids. Rich in beta-carotene, retinoic acid, lycopene, vitamin C, linoleic and linolenic fatty acids, this ancient oil known for centuries and used by the Mayans, Egyptians and Romans is one of the most powerful healing and rejuvenating products known to man. It works on a cellular level and its properties are amazing: absorbing quickly without leaving a greasy residue or clogging pores, this light and non-greasy oil deeply moisturizes, nourishes, softens, soothes, revitalizes, regenerates, heals, rejuvenates, encourages cell renewal and protects dry, sensitive, damaged and mature skin, reducing redness and inflammation, calming itching, improving its elasticity and complexion, evening out the skin tone, making the skin soft, smooth, and supple, preventing dryness and dehydration and protecting against premature aging. It's also an effective and natural treatment for acne, blemishes, rashes, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, dry, flaky and itchy scalp, as well as many other skin and hair conditions, and known for preventing and reducing scars and stretch marks, relieving pain caused by sunburn and peeling skin, healing small wounds, cuts, burns, smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, restoring luster to dull and lifeless hair, strengthening weak and brittle nails. Since I started this organic rosehip seed oil two times a day, my complexion has improved, my acne has cleared up, redness and inflammation is gone, a lot of acne scars and pigmentation spots have faded, some fine lines and stretch marks have smoothed out, my skin is no longer dry, flaky and painful to the touch – it's softer, smoother and has a healthy glow. So glad I discovered such an amazing product.

Hexane extracted, heat treated and refined rose hip seed oil.

Posted on Apr 02, 2014

Purchased at iHerb

Unrefined cold pressed rose hip seed oil is orange and has a distinct rose hip aroma. This one is clear and has no aroma, which proves that it has been refined and altered by heat. Even though it retains some of its moisturizing properties, it has been stripped of many of the nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants that cold pressed rose hip seed oil is valued for. It looks like it has been hexane extracted, which makes it even dangerous. Hexane is a known carcinogen and considered a hazardous substance by the EPA. Sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate altering the natural integrity and composition of rose hip seed oil might have been added. Its clear color is the result of it having been exposed to extreme temperatures during the refining process which destroys the naturally occurring essential saturated and unsaturated fatty acids and proteins that are so beneficial in unrefined cold pressed rose hip seed oil. It's no longer hypoallergenic and safe for all skin types, it's no longer rich in the naturally occurring in raw shea butter vitamins A, C and E, powerful antioxidants, as well as linoleum and linolenic fatty acids, it no longer possesses the nourishing, protective, soothing, healing, anti-inflammatory, regenerative and rejuvenating properties of unrefined rose hip seed oil. Won't order it again.

54 oz of delicious organic extra virgin coconut oil for just $23.95. Great value for money.

Not only does this coconut oil tastes great, but it's packed with health benefits and can be used both internally and externally. Rich in medium chain triglycerides, coconut oil is different from other saturated fats: much of its saturated fat comes from lauric acid, which improves HDL ("good cholesterol") to HDL ("bad cholesterol") ratio and creates a more favorable blood cholesterol profile by increasing high-density lipoprotein ("good cholesterol") levels. Lauric acid is converted to monolaurin, which is otherwise found only in breast milk, has strong antibacterial and antiviral properties and is useful in the prevention and treatment of various infections and diseases. This ancient oil also aids digestion and the absorption of vitamins, minerals and amino acids, helps control blood sugar levels and keep them stable by improving insulin secretion, improves thyroid function, stimulates metabolism, triggers the release of the cholecystokinin hormone slowing down food movement through the digestive tract and keeping you full longer, thus contributing to weight loss, boosts immunity and energy levels. Coconut oil can also be used externally and does wonders for dry, dehydrated, sensitive and damaged skin. It deeply moisturizes and nourishes the skin, improves its elasticity, making its soft, smooth, and supple, prevents dryness and dehydration, evens out the skin tone, improves the complexion, calms itching, reduces irritation and inflammation, facilitates the healing of small wounds, cuts, burns, bug bites, warts, fungal infections, fights acne, blemishes, rashes, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, prevents and reduces stretch marks and scars, relieves pain caused by sunburn and peeling skin, heals sore and chapped lips, smoothes out fine lines and wrinkles, restores luster to dull and lifeless hair, acts as a natural sunscreen and is a great all-natural make-up remover. I've been using this coconut oil both internally and externally and the results speak for themselves: I feel better, more energetic and resilient, my acid reflux and heartburn are gone, my complexion has improved, my skin tone has evened out, some acne scars and stretch marks have faded, my skin is softer, smoother and has a healthy glow. Definitely one of my favorite products.

Amazing lip balm with a rare blend of healing tamanu oil and antiseptic tea tree oil.

Great for my lips. I have very sensitive lips prone to getting painfully dry, peeling, chapping, and, as a result, extreme soreness, especially in winter. I've been looking for an all-natural organic lip balm for a very long time, and I think I've finally found it. I really like Sierra Bees lip balms. The best thing about them is that they don't contain any synthetic, artificial, or dangerous ingredients, which is hard to find these days. They’re also gluten free, which is especially important for people suffering from gluten intolerance and celiac disease, sustainable, which means the company cares about nature and tries not to disturb its delicate balance, compact and easy to carry around, you don’t have to worry about accidentally swallowing any dangerous carcinogenic ingredients, and you can try them for free! This organic tamanu and tea tree oil lip balm is not something you would find in a typical lip balm. It does wonders for my lips. The ingredients are amazing. Tamanu oil, one of its main ingredients, is an ancient Polynesian beauty secret famous for its powerful healing, nourishing, regenerating, pain relieving, antineuralgic, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, antioxidant properties and truly an amazing remedy for dry and chapped lips, as well as many other serious skin conditions. Rich in antioxidants, it accelerates healing and the growth of new and healthy skin, nourishes, soothes, and repairs dry and damaged skin, relieves pain caused by inflammation, fends off infection, prevents dryness, chapping, and inflammation, restores skin elasticity, protects against premature aging. Tea tree oil is a potent antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, antibiotic, antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiviral agent and immunostimulant capable of fighting off different types of infections, bacteria, viruses, fungi, alleviating inflammation, which is something chapped lips are particularly prone to, and boosting the immune system. Olive oil is known for its antioxidant properties and for deeply moisturizing, nourishing, regenerating, and softening the delicate skin of the lips, beeswax forms a protective barrier on their surface while still allowing the skin to breathe, sunflower seed oil is a noncomedogenic oil gently healing, moisturizing, and protecting your lips against irritation and infection, vitamin E (another great thing about Sierra Bees lip balms is that it’s non-GMO and derived from sunflower seed oil) is a powerful antioxidant vital to skin health, as well as a natural preservative. I’ve been using this lip balm for a while, and I’m already impressed by the results. The condition of my lips has noticeably improved: they are no longer painfully dry, chapped, and peeling – they are smooth, soft, and healthy instead.

The best organic jojoba oil on iHerb, hands down.

Posted on Apr 08, 2014

Purchased at iHerb

This clear golden oil with a slightly nutty aroma is a true North American treasures and one of the most amazing natural skincare and haircare products known to man. What makes it superior to other plant oils is that it's so similar to sebum, the oil secreted by the skin's sebaceous glands, which makes it quickly and easily absorbed. Rich in oleic, palmitic, linoleic, linolenic acids, as well as vitamins A and E, this wonderful light and non-greasy moisturizer creates a powerful barrier protecting against moisture loss and minimizing the effects of the harsh environment we live in. Jojoba oil does wonders for dry, sensitive, dehydrated and damaged skin. It deeply moisturizes, nourishes, softens, soothes, revitalizes, regenerates, heals the skin, encouraging cell renewal, reducing redness and inflammation, calming itching, improving its elasticity and complexion, evening out the skin tone, preventing dryness and dehydration and protecting against premature aging. Not only is it great for dry skin, it's also beneficial to oily, combination and acne-prone skin. Due to its ability to mimic the skin's sebum so closely, it acts as a signal to the pores to stop producing any more sebum. It has the same regulating and balancing effect on oily scalp and hair, helping break down oils, clean hair follicles and remove dirt. Jojoba oil is also an effective and natural treatment for acne, blemishes, rashes, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, dry, flaky and itchy scalp, as well as many other skin and hair conditions, and known for preventing and reducing scars, stretch marks and razor bumps, smoothing out fine lines and wrinkles, restoring luster to dull and lifeless hair, strengthening weak and brittle nails. Since I started this organic jojoba oil two times a day, my complexion has improved, my acne has cleared up, my skin tone has evened out, all the redness and inflammation is gone, some of my acne scars and pigmentation spots have faded, some fine lines and stretch marks have smoothed out, my skin is no longer dry, flaky and painful to the touch – it's softer, smoother and has a healthy glow. So glad I discovered this amazing product on iHerb.

Contains cetyl alcohol, pota ssium sorbate, fragrance and very little hyaluronic acid.

Despite its name, this cream contains very little hyaluronic acid, it's not even one of its main ingredients. Instead it contains cetyl alcohol, sodium benzoate and some unspecified fragrance. Even though they're not some dangerous carcinogens, they may irritate dry, sensitive and delicate skin. Cetyl alcohol is an emulsion stabilizer and surfactant suspected to be a skin irritant and environmental toxin, pota ssium sorbate is a preservative known to be a skin irritant, allergen and human toxicant. In addition to this, this product contains some unspecified "natural aroma", it's unclear what exactly it is, where it comes from, and whether it's actually natural or synthetic. All the other ingredients are safe, though. When I apply this product to my skin, it does have a toning and firming effect, but at the same time sometimes it causes a slight burning sensation where it's applied. Overall, it's not a bad product, but if you have sensitive and delicate skin, it may not be for you. You can find better hyaluronic acid products on iHerb.
