Good for kid's dose

Posted on Nov 03, 2009

This liquid molybdenum is tasteless and easy to put in a child's drink. Each drop equals 25 micrograms, so this product allows you to give a small but exact dose. It does contain alcohol, but the amount in a drop or two doesn't concern me.

Read label carefully

I thought each capsule contained 10 billion good bacteria, but it is actually 5 billion. For 2 weeks I have given my 7-year-old autistic son 3 capsules per day (morning, afternoon, evening), but Probioplus has not helped his acid reflux, so I will try a more potent product. Probioplus DDS seems better as a "maintenance" probiotic.

hard to swallow

Posted on Aug 26, 2009

Each softgel is 1 inch long (2.5 cm) and several times one has been lodged in my throat for a few minutes. Generally I don't have a problem swallowing capsules, but these are too big for me. I bought Mega PC-35 to help brain function in my son, who has autism. He's 7 years old and hasn't had a problem swallowing them like I have, but the size makes me nervous. Opening the capsules to squeeze out the contents doesn't work because of the thick, unpleasant texture.

Because of the rounded shape, these softgels often get stuck in my throat. I would prefer to take 2 smaller softgels, or a softgel with a more elongated shape. The cod-liver oil itself seems to be good quality.

Caused fluttering heart

Posted on Mar 16, 2011

Purchased at iHerb

I bought this creatine after hearing that it might improve motor skills in some children with autism. I tried it on myself and after a few days had the frightening sensation of a fluttering heart. At first I thought it was stress, but the problem went away within 24 hours after stopping creatine. I Googled "creatine" and "palpitations" and saw other people have had a similar experience. I will continue to use Now products in general, but wanted others to be aware of this possible side effect of creatine.
