Gaia herbs are of the highest quality, and this product has helped me heal my thyroid, along with iodine supplementation and acetyl-L-tyrosine.

Love it!

I prefer garlic granules to powder, as the shelf life is a bit longer, and they are just as easy to use. Still mixes well and is not 'grainy' when used in cooking. Yum!

okay, but smears

Good, natural mascara, but if you sweat or tear up slightly even from laughing or sneezing, it smears. Or if you rub your eye a little, you'll look like a raccoon.

Beware of INULIN in product

Posted on Feb 14, 2011

Purchased at iHerb

Inulin is an indigestible polysaccharide that can cause mild to severe intestinal upset in certain people. I wish I would have read the ingredients more carefully before purchasing. Known side affects include flatulence, cramps, abdominal pain and diarrhea. So, if you happen to experience that, don't necessarily blame the spirulina, just try another brand free of inulin.

sweetened with synthetic chemical, sucralose

Posted on May 12, 2010

(Zero stars is my actual rating) Instead of a safe, natural sweetener such as stevia, this product contains a dangerous synthetic chemical, sucralose (Splenda is a brand name) which is 3 chlorine molecules bonded to one sucrose, or sugar molecule. As a nutritionist, my colleagues and I have seen numerous people with severe reactions to this substance, including migraines, seizures and rashes, and therefore, I do not recommend this product. Although everyone reacts differently to this chemical, the fact that it is an entirely manufactured chemical found nowhere in nature is enough to raise concerns. It is not 'made from sugar' as advertising claims, simply because it contains sucrose.
