Too much grit!

Our latest batch contained far too much grit--very tiny rocks that are impossible to distinguish from the amaranth. Instead of a smooth, pleasant porridge, we have been fighting through grit crunching between our teeth...very aggravating! We have struggled through two bags and plan to use the other two for bird seed.

Purchased at iHerb

Extracted via fermentation, which seems to make for better coconut odor and taste than expeller pressed. Very comparable to my favorite brand (Tropical Traditions), but more convenient to buy by the quart, instead of the gallon, for roughly the same price per ounce. IHerb's remarkable delivery speed enhances that convenience.

Great for body rubs!

Extremely economical, but relatively bland (we prefer coconut oils with strong coconut odor/taste). We use almost exclusively for body rubs and prefer the Garden of Live, Living Foods, Extra Virgin for consumption.

I add about 3/4 teaspoon to my morning smoothie without noticing that it is there. Seems to help me and the wife sleep better and maintain regularity.
