I have been using this product off and on for 10 years. I previously had to be on an anti-depressant for mild to moderate depression but I couldn't stand the side effects any longer so I quit taking the prescription. Whenever I feel that depression coming on again, I start taking 5-HTP and my symptoms disappear within days. It makes me level, makes me feel normal, and has no side-effects. My husband, daughter, and son have taken it at various times to combat depression. We are never without a bottle of 5-HTP in our house.

My whole family uses this product. When we get the first symptom of a cold such as a sore throat or cough or congestion, we start taking it and many times the symptoms never develop into anything. My husband gets terrible bronchitis, but not when he's taking this remedy! I send some with each of my kids when they go off to college. When someone around my house says, "Mom, I have a sore throat," they know the next words out of my mouth, "Take some elderberry now!"

I like this product very much. It is easy to take.
