The capsules of this product are Vcaps which means they are vegatables and contain no animal by-products and, thus, are cruelty-free. I don't know about the origin of the probiotic cultures. Usually, when they are non dairy, the company mentions it so the fact that they don't mention anything about it makes me hypothesise that these cultures are dairy.

I would give it 5 stars if the caps vere vegetables. that would make them cruelty-free instead of made of gelatin which is made of beef cartilage.
