Upon opening, the colour and smell give the impression that the tablets are a quality product. NOW foods do a similar [but mature] broccoli extract (also very good) but they speak of providing "sulforaphane potential", whereas this SN product simply states that it provides "sulforaphane".. which suggests that this SN tablet might be a better product but I buy both just in case.

The tablets look and smell pleasingly like raw broccoli. There has been so much favourable research published recently about the benefits of broccoli that I think it would be almost negligent not to supplement with such tablets - in addition to eating some raw broccoli of course. I also bought a bottle of Source Naturals' Broccoli Sprout extract. SN's tabs also smell of raw broccoli and are also green, but both colour and smell are far more muted than the NOW product - but this is to be expect given the maturity of the raw ingredients. Larger predatory fish accumilate even even more toxins than they otherwise would because they eat stored toxins in other fish. Anchovy and sardine, the source of the omega 3 in this product, are small fish low in the food-chain, making them a perfect source for our good fats. This product, perhaps like many others, is nitrogen flushed... which I'm sure means that the oxygen is forced out so that it can't oxidise.. which would otherwise damage the fats when the bottle was hot or in sunlight. I have placed a second order.

I bought this as a stimulant, which is certainly is, but one cap is too much. It made me cold, over-active, and made me feel ill. I did some reading and read that the active dose is pretty much the same as the toxic dose, so don't take more than necessary. Unfortunately, it is in caps rather than tabs (which could simply be broken in half) so I have to essentially throw half of each cap away.
