It may seem inconvenient to have to take this 3 times a day, half hour before meals, but it is definitely more effective than other formula that go with or after meals. I have used the original Dr Hagiwara barley grass juice powder for over 8 years before switching to Green Magma because the former is not available on iHerb and the latter claims to be using the same original blend. Green Magma did not disappoint initially but some time this year (2012), either the grass quality or content dropped, the product took on a greyish green tone. So I switched to NOW 100% grass juice. I am glad to see rich bright green juice powder bottle after bottle. I hope the standard remains so. BTW, this is barley grass JUICE powder - made from spray-drying the extracted juice of barley grass, without fiber weight. Navitas Naturals' organic gelatinized maca powder comes in the most economical 16oz zip-lock packaging. It ran out of stock one time and I came to buy NOW Maca. To my surprise, this is even more aromatic and great tasting. Maca is also known as Peruvian ginseng. The gelatinized form has its starch removed so as to boost its absorption. It boosts man's stamina in all forms of physical activities and is believed to increase libido and sperm health as well. To boost fertility, women can take this once daily, and stop during menstrual period or when pregnant. For menopausal women, Maca supports healthy estrogen level and is effective in alleviating symptoms like hot flashes, anxiety and moodiness. As in all herbs that regulate hormone, allow the body time to adjust and take only when needed. Ginkgo is one of the few herbs that has been found to cross the blood-brain-barrier (BBB). You must feel something when you take Ginkgo for the very first time (or after a few months' break). If it does nothing, change. Headaches or dizziness are good symptoms. Cut down by taking on alternate days until the body adjusts itself. Avoid taking in the evening or at night to prevent insomnia. Jarrow Ginkgo helps to chase away mental-fogginess for me. Love what it does for my mental focus like what CoQ10 does for my sports performance. Potent ginkgo may lower blood-pressure in some people. Those with low blood pressure may consider Now Foods Ginkgo with Gotu Kola and Siberian ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus).
