Fresh, clean, wonderful in a room spray

I love adding this fresh lemony oil to my Grabgreen tangerine and lemongrass room freshener. The rom freshener is nice but a bit mild as-is, but really delicious with the added lemongrass oil. My sweetie breather in deeply and sighes a satisfied ahhhhhhh every time I spray it. :)

Taste takes a little getting used to but well worth it!

I avoid glycerin in toothpastes, so I appreciate this glycerin-free tooth powder. I have used it on and off for years. Sometimes I switch off at times and fall for a yummier toothpaste, but check out those ingredients, even on the natural brands. They are yummy because of all of the added sweeteners. I would not buy this powder for the taste per se, though after a while it's not bad. I continue to come back to it again and again over the years because it cleans well, my dentist thinks my teeth are strong, and I appreciate the lack of glycerin and sweeteners. I shake a little into my dry palm and press my wet toothbrush into it with the other hand, then brush or scoop the powder up from my palm if I need to. When I pour it onto my toothbrush, I find I get too much or loose too much, and end up with an amount that tastes bitter to me.

The scrumptious standard for Goji berries!

Have you tried Goji berries before? And were they dry and hard? You may have tried to eat them, or even tried to like them, because you heard that they were so good for you. You won't have to try to like these scrumptious Goji berries. You will probably have to try not to eat all of them in one sitting, no matter the portion in front of you. These Goji berries are outstanding--juicy, plump, delicious little jewels of antioxidasnt goodness. Yup, they cost more, but they are sooooo worth it. Delicious by the handful, in cereal, in homemade energy bars, soaked in tea for flavor and health benefits, and more. This sample sold me--thanks iHerb!

I like the spice, but he did not

Scents smell differently on different people, so I'm not sure how this would have been on my sweetie. A whiff from the bottle was pure spice. I liked it, he wrinkled his nose and never even tried to wear it. I think it could have mellowed on his skin to something nice, but I never found out. I like the idea of another reviewer in terms of adding a couple drops of different essential oils or scents to round it out. Wish I had thought of that...I might have sold my guy on a somewhat mellower scent, but he ditched it.

Helpful for mold and Candida

Jatoba is a huge tree indigenous to the Amazon rainforest and some tropical areas of Central America. I became interested in Jatoba when I read that although mold often grows in the rainforest due to the wet conditions in the rainy season, indigenous people decoct Jatoba bark to treat and prevent fungal growth. For some people it can act as too much of a stimulant, so be aware of this and perhaps avoid taking it in the evening. Some folks also report a big herx or healing crisis (fungal die-off) when they take it, so start slow. What helps one condition can negatively impact another, so if you have medical issues please always check with your own doctor to make sure that a supplement is right for you and won't interfere with other things you are taking, etc. Heal well! :)

Now available from Naka Herbs here at iHerb

I was worried when I saw that A Vogel Hubner Original Silica Gel was discontinued from iHerb that this classic supplement had disappeared from production, but I see that it is now available from Naka herbs and Vitamins Ltd. The Stephen Buhner connective tissue protocol for those with Lyme disease includes silica supplementation. Many report Biosil makes a big difference for them, but if it doesn’t or you want to just try something else, give this silica a try. Unlike the watery drops of Biosil, this is a thick gel that needs refrigeration. It was the first silica I ever used, many years ago, and widely considered one of the best for healing and strengthening skin, nails, connective tissue, tendons, and hair. The picture on the front reflects the fact that it is made from quartz crystals. I have experienced profound healing with this one. Note that it may take weeks or months depending on your own health situation, it does tend to work gradually. Highly, highly recommended!

The most delicious honey I have ever tasted, and an outstanding price!

Posted on Nov 24, 2012

My household has enjoyed Honey Gardens unheated and unfiltered apitherapy raw honey for the past few years. The enzymes and greatest health benefits are intact because it's unheated. We find the quality and health benefits are well worth the price we pay locally. I am allergic to bee stings, so I don't use more concentrated forms of bee products like propolis or royal jelly, just in case, but I have no problem with this wonderfully healing honey. Check with your own practitioners always to make sure that any new supplement, etc. is okay for your own health issues. :) The Honey Gardens website does list some of the benefits of raw honey, as well as a good FAQ and some yummy recipes and directions for face scrubs that can leave your skin glowing. I have not yet purchased this honey from iHerb as it's a new addition to their inventory, and I was happily surprised to find it here. You can be sure at this outstanding price that I will buy it here when I make my next purchase. :)

For sensitive souls :)

Are you a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP)? I am, and I have used Yarrow and Golden Yarrow as flower remedies off an on over the years to help me to balance sensitivity/empathy with feeling more solid in stressful environments. I love being open and sensitive, and I also want to feel safe and grounded and effective at the same time. This flower essence really helps me to feel balanced in that way. Brandy is the preservative, and it does smell and taste like brandy.

An antiviral powerhouse I always keep on hand

I have yet to find another brand of olive leaf I prefer to the Gaia Herbs Olive Leaf capsules. I trust this brand for quality, and am a repeat customer. Fans of olive leaf regularly report that it helped to clear up their (sinus infection, Candida, cold, flu, etc.) when other supplements they tried did not. I have found that to be so as well, and at the very least it seems to shorten the duration of an illness or infection quite a bit. Remember to always check with your own doctor to make sure that a supplement is right for you and won't interfere with other things you are taking, etc. Heal well! :)

Mind your mitochondria!

Anyone else checking out Dr. Terry Wahls amazing research into healing mitochondria? She healed her own secondary progressive multiple sclerosis, and diet was a huge factor in that. Check out her TED video for "Minding Your Mitochondria." She recommends whole food sources of the nutrients we need (rather than supplements) and organ meats are among the greatest food source of Coenzyme Q10. Can't do organs? Then this form of it is one of the best, easily used in the body, and an excellent quality. Our cells need it for energy, it's good for our gums, our hearts, our brains, etc. Dr. Wahls was especially concerned with the way that the brain can shrink in MS. She realized that in other diseases including Parkinson's, Huntington's, Alzheimer's where the brain shrinks, it's due to problems in the mitochondria. CoQ10 to the rescue! She ended up getting out of a tilt recline wheelchair and now bikes, etc. She recommends food as medicine, but good quality supplements were what she started with before overhauling her diet. Remember Dr. Wahls recommends whole food for healing, not supplements...this supplement review is my own. Always check with your own doctor to make sure that a supplement is right for you and won't interfere with other things you are taking, etc. Heal well! :)

Be kind to your mitochondria!

Is anyone else checking out Dr. Terry Wahls amazing research into healing mitochondria? She healed her own secondary progressive multiple sclerosis, and diet, including Coenzyme Q10 was a factor in that. (I wrote another review here for a different CoQ10 I like as well, and I included more info from Dr. Wahls there.) Dr. Wahls recommends eating whole foods for healing over supplements...this recommendation is my own. This is a very good brand, and the BioPerine makes it more available. Remember to always check with your own doctor to make sure that a supplement is right for you and won't interfere with other things you are taking, etc. Heal well! :)

Not a convert to berry teas, but a convert to this strawberry tea--oh yes!

Posted on Aug 15, 2012

I never enjoyed berry teas before I tried St. Dalfour Organic Strawberry tea as an iHerb sample. I can still say that while hot berry flavors just aren't my...erm...cup of tea, I LOVE this tea iced. I enjoyed it as a refreshing plain iced tea as well as a summer spritzer with stevia and unsweetened strawberry seltzer water. A sprig of basil would have been just the right touch for me. Yum! :)
