Excellent adaptogen revered for thousands of years, recommended by LLMD

Holy Basil (Tulsi) is an adaptogenic herb. Someone in my life has chronic Lyme, and their LLMD suggested adding Tulsi to the anti-Lyme herbal tea they drink, along with a traditional Western medicine approach. LLMD stands for "Lyme literate medical doctor," someone who has more experience in diagnosing and treating Lyme disease. It manifests differently in people, often with different co-infections, so what is right for one (or at one stage of the game) might not be right for another. The Tulsi was recommended for anxiety. It can help with the effects of too much cortisol in the body. I know I myself am an over user of coffee, and even that produces a lot of cortisol for me. If you have adrenal burn-out, check in with your own doctor or health practitioners to see if Tulsi/Holy Basil might be right for you. Herbs work differently for folks, and for some Holy Basil is more of a stimulant (and can make them feel jittery or keep them awake) and others report it helps them to sleep. It can depend on what else you take it with, what time of day, etc., so some tweaking might be in order. Adaptogens work in a slower way in the body, so it may take a while for you to feel the full effects. This is a brand I like and trust. There is a lot of information available on this herb, so do your research. The number of health conditions it is used for on people and animals is astounding. There are different types of Holy Basil, and dosage will differ not only based on health condition but which type of the herb. I believe this is an herb to avoid if pregnant or trying to get pregnant, but if that is the case with you I hope you are working closely with your health team anyway to make sure that what you ingest is safe and right for you. Heal well! :)

Lactobacillus GG is well researched and anectdotal evidence says it works well too

Lactobacillus GG is one of the strains of probiotic with the most scientific study behind it. Different strains of probiotics affect the body differently. Please do some research, but among other physical symptoms this strain may treat especially well are pouchitis, the often difficult to treat Clostridium difficil (c diff) and eczema. A dear friend experienced painful pouchitis after colon surgery, and I wish I had known that this supplement was perhaps what could give her some relief. For me it was just an attempt to use beneficial bacteria after too many antibiotics. I found it very effective, and would highly recommend this brand and strain to others. Because different strains work better for different conditions, talk to your doctor to decide what supplement is best for you. If taking to offset antibiotics do take them at least a few hours apart so they don't work against each other. Here's to your radiant health! :)

Taste takes a little getting used to but well worth it!

I avoid glycerin in toothpastes, so I appreciate this glycerin-free tooth powder. I have used it on and off for years. Sometimes I switch off at times and fall for a "yummy" toothpaste, but check out those ingredients, even on the natural brands. They are "yummy" because of all of the added sweeteners. I would not buy this powder for the taste per se, though after a while it's not bad. I continue to come back to it again and again over the years because it cleans well, my dentist thinks my teeth are strong, and I appreciate the lack of glycerin and sweeteners. I shake a little into my dry palm and press my wet toothbrush into it with the other hand, then brush or scoop the powder up from my palm if I need to. When I pour it onto my toothbrush, I find I get too much or loose too much, and end up with an amount that tastes bitter to me.

Oxygenating and chelating benefits and much more

There is a little booklet called "Germanium: A New Approach to Immunity" that I bought for a few dollars to learn more about this mineral. I was initially interested because of reported oxygen enhancing benefits, and there are many other reported health benefits as well. Do your research, and check with your own health team to see if this supplement may be right for you.

Antiviral wellness in a bottle

I love elderberry extract. It has kept me and my loved ones well when others around us were felled by colds and coughs. I have cut sugar way out of my eating plan, though, so the delicious Sambucol syrup I used to use is no longer an option for me. I'm very grateful to be able to get the healing goodness of elderberry in easy to take tablets, sugar-free. I love this Wellness line of products, each one I have tried is outstanding.

Very good quality in a brand I trust. I don't like horse pills, even slippery ones, and these are nice and small and easy to swallow. In my home it's used for skin, brain, joints, inflammation, etc. to good effect. Always check in with your own doctor/healing team to make sure that a supplement (or dosage) is right for you. Here's to your good health! :)

Shhhh...I can cheat the tiniest bit with wheat when I take this

My former doctor had prescribed Prilosec a few years ago for my horrible heartburn and acid reflux. I don't like to take medications like that, so instead I started taking digestive enzymes. My sweetie and I have both experienced significant improvement on these enzymes, much better digestion and no more heartburn or reflux. I had to give up gluten for health reasons a year or so ago, but with this enzyme I can let a *little* wheat slip in every now and then. I don't mean a bagel, but maybe a light breadcrumb coating that otherwise I would not be able to handle. I *do not* have Celiac or anything that would send me to the hospital with a little slip, so please don't try it if your own gluten intolerance is that severe! The Digest Spectrum also helps me to better digest dairy than does the plain Enzymedica Digest. The only con for me is the price if we want to take one before every meal (and sometimes 2 before heavy or extra rich food). I keep trying other brands to see if I can get on to something as effective at a lower price, but this one is the best for me.

Surrounded by sick people at work, this was my secret weapon for staying well!

I'll always be grateful that my co-worker shared that this was *her* secret weapon against sickness: Source Naturals Wellness Formula Herbal Defense Complex. We just called it "Wellness" for short. I had noticed that my colleague didn't seem to be out sick as often as everyone else, and I asked her why. We worked with a lot of very sick clients with all sorts of health conditions, and co-workers were regularly calling in sick with everything that was going around from colds and flu to stomach virus and more all year round, not just during flu season. Once I started taking these I just did not get sick with any of the things that were being passed around. I agree with another reviewer who pointed out that these tablets are especially helpful when taken at the first signs that you are getting sick or feeling unwell. Remember to always check with your own doctor to make sure that a supplement is right for you and won't interfere with other things you are taking, etc. Here's to your own fabulous wellness! :)

Helpful for mold and Candida

Jatoba is a huge tree indigenous to the Amazon rainforest and some tropical areas of Central America. I became interested in Jatoba when I read that although mold often grows in the rainforest due to the wet conditions in the rainy season, indigenous people decoct Jatoba bark to treat and prevent fungal growth. For some people it can act as too much of a stimulant, so be aware of this and perhaps avoid taking it in the evening. Some folks also report a big herx or healing crisis (fungal die-off) when they take it, so start slow. What helps one condition can negatively impact another, so if you have medical issues please always check with your own doctor to make sure that a supplement is right for you and won't interfere with other things you are taking, etc. Heal well! :)

Helped get blood levels back in the healthy range where they should be!

When blood tests showed my D levels were extremely low I started taking these softgels instead of the 50,000 unit pills per week my doctor prescribed. I just did not feel well on the prescription. I took healthy Origins D3 2,400 IU twice a day for some weeks, then one a day til my levels were in a healthier range. Now I alternate between 1,000 IU per day and these for upkeep. If you supplement with Vitamin D please do get your levels rechecked to make sure you aren't overdoing it over the long haul. Heal well! :)

Teeny tiny pills are easy to swallow and extremely effective for pain and inflammation

I bought these by "mistake" for a friend when the New Chapter line was on special. I had been using Zyflamend for a year or so and knew how effective they were, so when her knees started acting up and getting inflamed I thought Zyflamend would help. The "mistake" was not realizing these were the EasyCaps. I am going to start ordering them for myself instead of the WholeBody softgels I have been taking. The pills are so small and easy to swallow, yet still pack a strong punch against pain and inflammation. Heal well!

My sweetie found them as effective as much more expensive vitamins he had tried

I bought these for my sweetie who swears that when he takes vitamin E he doesn't need to get up to urinate 2 or 3 times during the night. He has always been a stickler for the mixed tocopherols, and I missed when I ordered these based on price and reviews that they are d-alpha tocopheryl acetate and not mixed tocopherols. I like and trust the Country Life brand so much, and I have had such good experiences with their other products that I just ordered it without carefully looking at their description. He reported he was actually surprised that these "got the job done" for him in a way he never experienced except with mixed tocopherols. For the price, quality and effectiveness we will be ordering these again. I also like that they are certified gluten-free so I can borrow them from him when I want. :)
