iHerb Promotional Material, Think Groceries!

Posted on Jul 30, 2012

Purchased at iHerb

100 full page 8 ½ x 11 inch flyers for one dollar is a great deal. I mention the size because a few reviewers wrote that they thought they would be smaller. If you are looking for smaller sizes, iHerb also has promo material that can fit in a wallet. I like these because they list a variety of items iHerb carries, which sort of jogs one’s brain about what to order. I know for the first couple years I ordered from iHerb I was concentrating on my supplements. I actually am now keeping one of these on my own fridge to remind myself to check iHerb when I think I want to write something on a shopping list at a local store. When I do search for a product on iHerb, I frequently am surprised and delighted to find something I didn’t expect iHerb stocked, almost always at a much lower price than I can find it locally. I still shop at independent local stores to support my local economy, but I am incorporating more of my staples into my iHerb shopping list as well, and this flyer reminds me (and guests to my home) to do so. :)

Wild Alaskan salmon omega 3

Posted on Jun 30, 2012

Purchased at iHerb

Wild Alaskan Salmon oil rather than sardine, herring, etc. Gluten free. I am currently using other Omega 3 supplements through iHerb but will check this one out again in the future. The trial size is welcome but too little for me to be able to assess benefits. I do like and trust the New Chapter brand.

A little hard on my sensitive gums

Posted on Jul 02, 2012

Purchased at iHerb

I like that Nature's Answer Periowash is alcohol-free, so it's less drying to my mouth. I appreciate many of the the ingredients, like Prickly Ash and Co–Q10 (great for gums) and antibacterial Oregano and Olive Leaf, as well as chlorophyll and other ingredients to freshen breath naturally. NO Sodium-Lauryl-Sulfate is a big plus. It was a bit harsh on my sensitive gums and I didn't keep up with it. I may try it again at some point because it does have great ingredients.

Good taste...I just take my minerals separately now

Posted on Jul 12, 2012

Purchased at iHerb

I was so happy to find this product. It is readily absorbed, and I liked the orange vanilla taste. Since ordering I have switched to only taking my calcium and magnesium separately. Since I was a teen I always took them together in a supplement, but now I have learned more about how calcium and magnesium compete for the same receptor sites in the body. Remember to always check with your own doctor to make sure that a supplement is right for you and won't interfere with other things you are taking, etc. Heal well! :)

Great price and good organizer if you just take a couple of pills

Posted on Jul 08, 2012

Purchased at iHerb

It's not especially pretty, no, but it does the trick if all you need are a few pills a day to remember. It's too bulky for my regular purse, and I take more than a few supplements a day, so I gave mine to someone who really appreciated it. :)

I like the spice, but he did not

Posted on Nov 24, 2012

Purchased at iHerb

Scents smell differently on different people, so I'm not sure how this would have been on my sweetie. A whiff from the bottle was pure spice. I liked it, he wrinkled his nose and never even tried to wear it. I think it could have mellowed on his skin to something nice, but I never found out. I like the idea of another reviewer in terms of adding a couple drops of different essential oils or scents to round it out. Wish I had thought of that...I might have sold my guy on a somewhat mellower scent, but he ditched it.

Check with LLMD, this may help with excretion of Lyme biotoxins

Posted on Jun 27, 2012

Purchased at iHerb

If you have anyone in your world with Lyme, do some research about this supplement. Among other benefits it works on neurotransmitters in the brain to lessen stress and enhance calm and stability, and can help the body to clear out biotoxins. LLMD stands for "Lyme literate medical doctor," someone who has more experience in diagnosing and treating Lyme. It manifests differently in people, often with different co-infections, so what is right for one (or at one stage of the game) would not be right for another. Always check in with your own doctor/healing team to make sure that a supplement (or dosage) is right for you and won't intefere with other things you are taking. Here's to your good health! :)

Be kind to your mitochondria!

Posted on Aug 17, 2012

Purchased at iHerb

Is anyone else checking out Dr. Terry Wahls amazing research into healing mitochondria? She healed her own secondary progressive multiple sclerosis, and diet, including Coenzyme Q10 was a factor in that. (I wrote another review here for a different CoQ10 I like as well, and I included more info from Dr. Wahls there.) Dr. Wahls recommends eating whole foods for healing over supplements...this recommendation is my own. This is a very good brand, and the BioPerine makes it more available. Remember to always check with your own doctor to make sure that a supplement is right for you and won't interfere with other things you are taking, etc. Heal well! :)
