Pretty good!

First off, let me say that New Chapter is to be admired for its strong support for GMO labeling and freedom of choice as well as its pursuit of organic certification for an increasing amount of its ingredients. As a company, they also operate an innovate organic ranch wherein some of the ingredients are grown. As a multivitamin, this is a fairly comprehensive one. The research consensus has not yet fully formed around these vitamin-and-mineral-fed-yeast vitamins that are also made by Megafoods and one or two other companies, but the marketing pitch sounds good. They certainly live up to the "gentle on the stomach" pitch, so perhaps there is something to it. My only issue with this multivitamin is the addition of Iron. As a man, it would be nice to have a multivitamin option from New Chapter that didn't include so many herbs. This is the best bet if you want an alternative. All in all, I recommend this brand, and iHerb pricing beats retail big time. Check out my profile page for a discount code!

This is a pretty darn good formulation from a reputable company. The formula avoids some of the more sensitive additions, making it a safe choice for most people. In a capsule formulation, dissolution is also a non-issue, and these are vegetarian without binders. Also safe for those with gluten allergies, as almost the entire selection from Country Life is actually certified gluten free by a third party. Check out my profile page for a discount code!

They certainly live up to the "gentle on the stomach" pitch, so perhaps there is something to it. My only issue with these is that some of the added herbs may not be desirable on a daily basis. For example, I do not want Chamomile in my generic multivitamin. It's commonly used as a sleep aid, and for me, it has a strong effect. On the flip side, New Chapter makes it difficult to get a male-friendly (aka no iron) multivitamin without some of these herbs. If anyone at the company is listening, please consider keeping the herbs in this mutlvitamin down to basics like the Turmeric/Ginger. Let customers who want the Chamomile, etc., opt instead for "Perfect Calm" or another version. All in all, I recommend this brand, and iHerb pricing beats retail big time. Seems to offer some relief...

Gaia is a fantastic herbal supplements company with great product sourcing and information. Check out their website if you want to learn more about their formulas and rationale behind them. This formula seems to be effective in easing joint pain, though it was certainly no panacea for me. I did, however, notice that it helped clear headaches as well, so it does appear effective at easing general inflammation and tension. Check out my profile page for a discount code!

Fantastic product, great company...

This is a great organic mushroom blend for modulation of immunity response. What does that mean? This is not simply an immune system stimulant; rather, mushrooms appear to have the power to normalize immune system responses. For example, you want your immune system to attack foreign bugs and cancer cells, but you do not want an immune system so heightened that it attacks your own body, causing allergies. This product may be effective toward such a general end. My only gripe, deducting the one star, is the lack of information available here and on Fungi.com regarding the heat activation methods used. I have called Fungi Perfecti and was given a satisfactory response (they are, indeed, heat activated and thus bioavailable), but this is not reflected as well in information available online and on the product itself. All in all, fantastic product. Highly recommended. Check out my profile page for a discount code!

Not perfect, but one of the better strains and packaging...

Great strain with some research behind it, and it does appear to do as it claims. Also, the amount per capsule (10 billion) is impressive and above and beyond most of the near-useless probiotics on the market. Furthermore, the packing used in this product is ideal: it is shelf stable and blister-packed for easy travel. Identical packaging to Culturelle, for those familiar with that product. Worked alright...

Solid product formulation from a reliable company. Packaging is fantastic and information abundant both on here and on Gaia's website. Also, unlike many other herbal complexes, including some other ones made by Gaia Herbs, this product lists the individual amounts of each constituent ingredient. Just be sure to follow the instructions, and it would be a good idea to consult a doctor if you are having serious issues you believe may be linked to thryoid issues. And at the end of the day, the key to thyroid improvement is iodine intake. Either incorporate more sea vegetables (nori, kelp, etc) and egg yolks into your diet, or take a multivitamin that contains at least 75 mcg of Iodine. Check out my profile page for a discount code!

NOW Foods is a reliable brand, of course, and this product is marketed to improve one's sex life and energy. In fact, Maca is a food, and it seems to live up to its claims. The science behind it is far from settled, but it has pretty widespread use, and as a food, its risks are few to none. Check out my profile page for a discount code!

NOW Foods is a reliable company, and this herb seems to work for its marketing: exercise and sex drive booster. However, the science behind this herb is a bit weak compared to some others. Nonetheless, it likely cannot hurt anything either. Check out my profile page for a discount code!

Acetyl-L-Carnitine has some research and is coming up. Doctor's Best is a reliable distributor. Personally, this does help with memory and strength. However, it also seemed to increase fatigue and tiredness with continued use. So be careful, know thyself, and maybe seek medical advice as to whether or not to supplement. There is growing research behind ALA, especially in combination with ALCAR (Acetyl-L-Carnitine). Appears to help with insulin sensitivity among other things. Do your research! Doctor's Best uses reliable sources, and this appears to be a good product. Check out my profile page for a discount code!

Hard to tell if this works any better than plain old ALA, but the arguments for it seem solid. If you can afford the increased cost, why not, eh? Check out my profile page for a discount code!
