Lowered my LDL

My LDL was too high so, I added the Super Omega 3-6-9, 2 softgels/day, to my diet. Without any other notable diet or exercise changes, my LDL fell by about 30 points and is now in the healthy range. Plus, there is no fishy aftertaste with these. I recommend it.

Good Fiber at a Good Price

I use inulin in my beverages as a way to get extra fiber and to help myself feel fuller. It has a slightly sweet taste but pretty innocuous. Inulin mixes pretty well in hot beverages but can clump some in colder beverages. You have to put it in your beverage and shake/stir vigorously. It's also be a bit messy as the powder is so fine, it will fly out of the bottle when you try to pour it. Definitely spoon it out to avoid powder all over your desk. I recommend this as a good source of additional fiber.

It Works

The Ionic-Fizz Magnesium works well to help keep my legs from cramping and relieving calf pain. I don't know that it yet helps my sleep but based on how my muscles have liked this magnesium formula, I assume it's doing what it can to assist my sleep (I'm not a very deep sleeper). It is a bit tart - the lemonade part is predominate. I took magnesium chloride tables and they didn't even disolve in my digestive tract. The magnesium spray works well but can itch and it's a bit greasy feeling. This fizzy magnesium helps & is easy to take. I recommend it.

Best Tasting Fiber Supplement

I really like this fiber supplement. It has a pleasant taste, mixes easily, and helps make sure I get enough fiber. Also, the ingredients have a nice profile, pro-biotics, Omega EFA's etc. Garden of Life tends to be pricey but I do buy Super Seed.

Scrubby but Not Drying

I like a bar soap that is moderately abrasive and the Dead Sea Mud bar does the trick. It helps mechanically exfoliate my skin with particles which are not sharp. The scent is earthy and soapish but mild. My preferred soap is French and costs $8/bar. The Dead Sea Mud soap is about 2/3 cheaper and is almost as good.

Good Source of B's

I've been using this for a couple of weeks and like it. I find taking extra B vitamins, especially with the mega B12, gives my body a little energy boost. No post-caffeine type down after either. The taste is kind of like a pleasant berry cough syrup. I hold it in my mouth/under my tongue for about 30-60 seconds before swallowing then take a drink of something else to wash the syrupy taste down. It's convenient to take as is has a nice small diameter nozzle. I recommend the Now Foods, Ultra B-12.

The chewable papaya enzymes are very conveient & easy to take. They taste good and, most importantly, help prevent my post bad food meal bloating. I don't know if the chlorophyll helps keep my breath fresh, but I haven't been turned down for a kiss yet.

An Easy Way to Get Your Greens

Posted on Jun 02, 2011

I bought this to drink at work to help me from snacking on unhealthy food. I find it helps curb my hunger in the morning between breakfast & lunch. I tastes like grass (green food taste) with a prominent lemony flavor. I don't mind the flavor, not great, but one of the better greens formulas I've tried. It mixes easily in my shaker but is a little gritty (not in a bad way, just noticeable). I don't know if it's helping my overall energy levels yet, too soon to tell I think, but I do feel the caffeine in it. I'm buying the other flavors (without caffeine) to drink in the afternoons. Give it a try.

Powdered Breakfast

I've used this for a few weeks now and am an fan. My digestion tends to be a bit slow and not very strong (don't completely digest food, bloating, nausia, heartburn, etc.). The Tru Vegan sits well on my stomach, I don't feel bloated after eating it, and it keeps me feeling more full than an bowl of cereal and a veggie sausage patty, or a whey protein shake. I bought more and will keep using it. It tastes pretty good, is easy enough to mix, and makes a nice breakfast. I mix one scoop w/ 8oz of almond or rice milk and some water to make it thinner. The shake keeps me pretty full for several hours. The taste is fine, pretty neutral flavor. I add some berry flavored greens to it (Amazing Grass Greens Superfood), which gives it some berry/greens flavor.

Helpful for Winter Internal Warming

I bought this after my acupuncturist told me to drink ginger tea to help w/ diarrhea brought on by a medication I take. It does help prevent the diarrhea. It's more convenient than making tea 3 times a day. As for helping make me feel like it's helping my digestion - I didn't notice any changes that way.

Really Helped

The enzymes dramatically helped me feel less bloated after eating dairy and certain carbs. It also helped relieve gas associated with the aformentined foods. The basic enzyme strengths weren't potent enough to help. However, one of these capsules does the trick for most meals.

A Low Shine Moisturizer

Posted on May 12, 2009

1 person found the following review helpful

I've been looking for a day time moisturizer that didn't leave my forehead looking shiney by afternoon; this seems to do the trick. The brown color concerned me but it doesn't leave my face looking like I'm wearing make-up. The ingredients look good but it's too soon to tell if its anti-aging properties work.
