Really love this, even better than the 5000 IU version I need less than 5000 IU a day, so I really wanted to buy this, but it is now discontinued :-( Why oh why are my most favourite products always discontinued?

Tastes great

Love this maca powder. Tastes great with anything, in my smoothies, raw puddings, anything at all. Will definitely purchase again. Just wonder why the nutritional info does not include calories per serving size...

Love it... for energy

I have been taking this for energy (just two in the morning) and it makes a huge difference for me. It may raise blood pressure, but that's ok for me, as I tend to have low blood pressure. Unhappy that price has gone up. Vitacost currently sells this for $4.99. Why are iherb prices less competitive these days?

I used this after sunbathing... not only did it cool down my skin, but it also removed the excessive redness on my mum's face. Also, the mintiness seems to reduce the itching of the mosquito bites (not a problem here in the UK, but definitely in other countries...). I will continue purchasing it as a moisturizer.

Works but don't like the caplet

It works fine, helps me relax, if anything makes me a bit drowsy afternoon to evening (I have been taking 3 a day, one after each main meal). Personally, I have been having trouble swallowing this whole, so have had to dissolve it in water. Therefore little point buying enteric coated caplets, I'd rather buy a capsule! Moreover, this caplet contains magnesium stearate which is not helpful. I wish magnesium stearate and all other useless eccipients were taken out of this and other supplements.

Will no longer buy due to eccipients

Rice flour, magnesium stearate (vegetable source) and silica. Vegetable source or not, I don't want magnesium stearate or any other flow agents in my supplements. Now Foods: will you listen at last?

not organic or raw?

Why on earth did they ROAST it? Also, it does not appear to be organic, which I would have preferred. I can get raw organic carob powder in the UK for little more money than this. Having had it a few times now, I can confirm that it is not as tasty as the organic raw one I previously purchased in the UK (but is difficult to source). It tastes a bit like burnt coffee. Lovely (not)! I have had to resort to mixing it with raw cocoa, which is a bit counterproductive (raw cocoa tastes better but is not very kind to my adrenals). 1 star for taste 1 star for not being organic 1 star for not being raw/being roasted 4 stars for smell 4 stars for helping my adrenals (supposedly) 3 stars as it tastes fine in my smoothie. overall: 3 stars Now Foods, can we please have an organic RAW version?

Origin?

This image seems to state that its origin is US. But some reviewers complained theirs came from China. So beware in case this information changes. Reasons why this matters: you CANNOT TRUST that most produce coming from China is free of contaminants or good quality. What a shame! For more information, please read: http://goo.gl/KUbsu Do yourself a favour and avoid any "superfoods" from China, except perhaps goji berries (as they come from the mountainous regions) Hope this information helps you keep in good health!

Not enough bergamot for me!

Posted on Sep 19, 2011

This tea has just enough bergamot to spoil the "just green tea" taste but not enough bergamot flavour to appeal to Earl Grey tea lovers. Please add more bergamot !!!
