I've had trouble falling and staying asleep my entire life; I've tried every remedy and method of inducing sleep (chamomile tea, 5-htp and tryptophan supplements, staying away from bright lights near bedtime, meditation, etc). Nothing worked! I had previously tried a different brand of melatonin in a much smaller dose which was no help either. After trying Now Foods 3mg Melatonin I can not believe how easily I fall asleep! Small noises no longer cause me to fully wake-up in the middle of the night (I used to have to wear ear plugs because of this). I wake up feeling like I've actually SLEPT. Love this stuff!

This tryptophan powder is an excellent value compared to the capsuled tryptophan supplements available. However, it can become a bit cumbersome to mix the powder with a drink every time you need to take it (but maybe I'm just lazy!). The product itself is great, I trust the Doctor's Best brand as well. When I do take it I am more easy-going during the day (but sometimes I don't because I don't have time to mix it into a drink). After I finish off my current supply I will get the Doctor's Best tryptophan in the capsules for more convenience.

I was wary about trying this vanilla flavored powder since the whey and soy vanilla powders I've tried before tasted so awful. But this stuff tastes great! Smells good too! I take 2 tablespoons with a 50/50 mixture of almond milk and water with a pinch of stevia every morning. Great stuff!
