Prefer a local operation for quality control reasons. -- No way to tell how frequently bees have collected nectar from GMO crops. -- "The honey comes from local beekeepers as well as beekeeping friends across the country and sometimes Canada. We use honey from beekeepers in Vermont, New York, Michigan and Montana.. Some of these beekeepers summer in the south and travel to provide pollination services for these crops."

Creamed Honey - Plastic Bottle

Posted on Jul 25, 2012

5 people found the following review helpful

Except for a liquorice light bitterness, it is good. -- Has similar consistency, smoothness, and taste as condensed sweetened milk. -- "Creamed honeys, like our products, have been slightly heated up to slow down the crystallization process. However, low temperature and timing is necessary to preserve the raw unpasteurized state of the honey."

Bottle Has No Security Seal

A convenient single-ingredient product for external use, make sure your skin is not cut or it will sting. You can always add distilled water to make it less concentrated. Works great as a deodorant, a good alternative to clays, most deodorants have undesirable ingredients.

This miso is similar in taste to the hatcho miso, but somewhat more mellow. Both look the same.

Creamy, Mellow, Raw Honey

It is truly a creamy and mellow honey with a floral scent. The honey has a light color and does look raw with bits and pieces, surely it is not filtered.

Better Consistency, Taste

Has better consistency and taste compared to other liquid honey. Considering the radiation contamination from Fukushima, I'm glad this organic honey comes from Brazil/Argentina, rather than the state of Oregon in the West Coast.

I'm no longer using mayonnaise or any oil in a bottle because vegetable oils are very sensitive to heat and oxygen, hence prone to oxidation. -- Vegetable oils are harmful to the body through very rapid lipid peroxidation and free radical damage. -- The human body produces its own Omega-9 fatty acid called Mead acid.

It is unusual to use Brandy instead of alcohol, but my aunt uses brandy in one of her recipes to calm the nerves. I found the root powder as a tea to be more potent for sleep.
