Ashwagandha (withania somnifera) is an herb that is extensively used in Ayurveda, the traditional health care system in India. Ashwagandha is used as a general tonic and “adaptogen”, helping the body adapt to stress. In addition, Ashwagandha has been shown to support a healthy immune system.
As a dietary supplement, take 1 capsule 2 to 3 times daily.
Cellulose (capsule), rice flour and magnesium stearate (vegetable source).
Not manufactured with yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or tree nut ingredients. Produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens.

This product levels out my cortisol during the day so that I don't have highs and lows. It also is very calming. Excellent for my adrenal fatigue.
Be careful with this one. It is standardized to 4,5% withanolides per capsule which is equal to ~10 grams of the whole herb - already over the common recommended daily dosage. It can have tranquilizing and hypnotic effect with two capsules. After quitting long-term (couple of months) use of this in recommended doses I had withdrawal symptoms similar to quitting benzodiazepines. It is a powerful herb especially when extracted so strongly. Use only when really needed (stressful times, occasional sleep aid) and not for too long periods continuously. I find half or even 1/3 of a capsule effective. It seems that consuming food/carbohydrates bring out the effects faster. I gave 1 star just to make my warning more noticeable. This is still quality supplement but has to be used with caution.

Taking this before bedtime helps me fall asleep better than any prescribed sleeping pull. As bonus I wale up spontanously in the morning :)

I have trouble in sleeping for a few years..i have tried lots of " natural herbs" . They just dont work . I must admit that i am feeling anxious For some reasons. I have problem in falling asleep. Tend to wake up in the middle of the night. I often feel that there are sonething around my.chest.. Each time when i about to fall.asleep. Those "pull"" feeling around my.chest really gives me hardtime in sleeping. After read some comments. Especially the one describe that it is potent.. I decided to try 1/2 capsule. But i feel nothing. Then i try 1 capsule. I feel good..able to fall asleep easily. But still wake up in the middle of the night. But i dont have the "pull" feeling on my chest ..that i am able to fall asleep back quite easily. I keep on trying to find out if it has "side effect" . As i m quite A sporty person. The last thing i want is . This herbs will " weaken" my muscle and performance. But so far i dont really notice the negative effects. I have also read some ayuvera articles on this herbs. It is.very strong in anti oxident and good in strengthen the immune system. In conclusion. This herbs is working fine for me. Combined with Rhodiola this is wonderful for mood - keeps me calm. Highly recommend.

This is a very potent herb that works for anxiety and mental stress - can't rate it highly enough. Seems almost as effective as anti-anxiety medications. Really relaxes you and is very powerful stuff. One in morning then one in late afternoon is all you need. Any more than that and you may feel like you are on heavy tranquilisers. Be careful not to take it with sedative herbs as I did by mistake - use with caution as it's a very potent sedative at this dose.
