Erythritol is a naturally-occurring sugar alcohol derived from a corn source and is naturally found in small amounts in various plants, fruits and fungi, including mushrooms. It contains virtually no calories (95% less calories than table sugar), has a low glycemic impact, and doesn't contribute to tooth decay. Basically all the bad things about sugar are absent in Erythritol, yet it tastes just like sugar and is about 70% as sweet.
Because you are what you eat, NOW Real Food has been committed to providing delicious, healthy, natural and organic foods since 1968. We're independent, family owned, and proud of it. Keep it natural. Keep it real.
Now Real Food Erythritol has a clean, sweet taste and is the perfect natural substitute for sugar in many applications. There's really no need to use refined table sugar ever again.
Pure erythritol crystalline powder.

I Norway we have the same thing but named Sukrin which os double expensive and double small. This works the same as sukrin. Perfect! I use it for making drinks, food. Zero suger and colories make it very usefull in my kitchen. Recommend it to everyone who want to have something sweet but healthy in their lifes. But i thing stuff from iherb should pack this one in plastic bag so it will protect it from damaging. If you find this review usefull, please click "yes" button :) Have a nice day :)
As other are writing here this is certainly a great replacement for sugar. Can't ask of anything better as it's quite similar and with no calories. The "no calories" part is really a boost here. If the calorie content was similar to regular sugar I would go for sugar. This is not as sweet as regular sugar, don't believe what others say. It has the crunchy feeling of sugar, but has a cooling effect that can taste a bit strange. It doesn't work very well when sprinkled over foods, such as oatmeal or regular porridge. It does however work pretty well in baked goods, coffee and so on - in anything where it's properly mixed with other ingredients. If you're not going crazy and removing sugar from your diet I would suggest replacing about half the sugar with this. It works. But remember, as it's not as sweet as regular sugar, you might want to increase the amount. I'm wobbling between four stars and five stars... consider this a strong four stars.
Best sugar substitute

Doesn't have the same taste as sugar and you can't use too much or the taste becomes strange, (great for cakes, not for meringues!) but it's the best low calorie substitute for sugar I've tried and doesn't have the same weird aftertaste artificial sweeteners and stevia have

Consistenly pure and effective replacement for sugar, this is my favourite brand. Tastes just like sugar with 1/4 the calories.
Sweetner thats good for you!

Love this sweetner, doesn't raise my blood sugar and tastes wonderful.

NOW Foods consistently offers the lowest prices I can find for products that I love -- and this is a great example. Erythritol is our family's sweetener of choice (along with stevia), and this is a great amount of it for the price. Of course it's a lot more expensive than sugar, but sugar harms the body whereas Erythritol helps it -- so no contest. :-)

erythritol is not soluble in water, although it does melt. nice for baking, but cannot use in raw recipes and cannot be made into a syrup. I did like this product for baking, it has no aftertaste.
