In addition to being a staple for the world, many people are surprised to learn that rice also provides a delicious natural sweetener. Brown Rice Syrup in a complex sugar that’s absorbed and utilized more slowly than simple sugars and has a low glycemic index. Complex sugars are also more easily used by the body for energy, which means less is stored as fat for later use.
Using Brown Rice Syrup in place of sugar in recipes can be a little tricky and may require some experimentation. Try reducing the total amount of other liquids by about 20% to account for the additional liquid and the omission of sugar.

I put it on oatmeal and pancakes. It is thick, shiny, and has a subtle sweetness and taste. Since it is not overly sweet, much less so than honey, it probably would not be the sweetener of choice for things like tea or baked goods. Sometimes it is fun to eat a spoonful right out of the jar. :)
This is great. The best syrup for pancakes. It is not too sweet like most pancake syrups. Highly recommend this. Also used this to sweeten with.

This one may be filtered and highly processed. I don't like the taste. I prefer Lundberg, Sweet Dreams instead.
does the job!

I use this as a easy, fructose free alternative to honey, maple syrup etc and have had no problems whatsoever. However,I wouldn't use it raw eg on toast etc- but then I wouldn't do that with honey either (I only like it as a sweetener, but for the flavour)
