Traditional Chinese medicine believes the fully developed principal tap root of astragalus provides a much greater benefit than smaller immature and secondary roots. This supplement contains primarily the fully mature primary tap roots of astragalus.

Astragalus root has been highly valued in traditional Chinese medicine since ancient times as a replenisher of “qi” (chi), or “vital energy.” Renowned for its safe and gentle properties, this adaptogenic and tonic herb is suitable for long-term use as an important aid in strengthening the natural defense system of the body.
