Covers grey perfectly
Covers grey perfectly
I love this stuff. My hair's at least 60% grey, and it completely covered my grey hair. I've been using henna for years and have to leave it on for about 17 hours to cover the grey, and it still doesn't do a very good job. Plus I'm sick of having red hair all the time. I only had to leave this stuff on for 2 hours, it was easy to apply myself, and it really is dark brown - no red. I dyed it two weeks ago and it's lasting really well so far. My usual henna would have washed out a lot by now.

Does NOT work. Takes a good couple hours then the final results were very disappointing. Don't waste time or money on it

Gives a nce dark brown that is soft and not harsh. But like all henna it is not the most easy to apply because the consistency is thick so you can't comb through. But having a product that does not have toxic ingredients like other hair colour products is important. Natural henna only costs SGD$3 in Singapore so this is pretty expensive by that standards but this has dark pigments added in and does not.need as many applications as natural henna. It also comes conveniently with plastic gloves and shower cap so that helps. As a henna treatment at a salon costs SGD $40, I consider this at SGD $16 to $17 to be a fair deal without all the toxins.
Apply on clean & dry hair for best result

I tried other henna coloring products previously and found this one is the best for me. To be honest, I tried several packs of Aubrey to understand the technique to get best result. It done nothing to me for my first several packs. I found that it only works on just washed and dry hair. I wash my hair with herbal shampoo and not putting any conditioner, then dry it before I use Aubrey. I get good result now, always 8-90% of grey is covered. I usually apply on roots only by every one or two weeks, depends on the status. I let it stay on my hair for around two hours and wash without shampoo but just water. I keep to wash my hair on next day by water only. The color didn't run away easily in this way. The trouble is: I need to repeat it frequently by one or two weeks, by seeing it's ingredients, I feel more comfortable to apply frequently.
Good hair colour

Fantastic for those of us allergic to regular hair dye. Gives good coverage - at first the regrowth may look not done - or even a slight shade of green! But next day it looks good. And as my hair grows and colour is added over the weeks it looks really good. Caution: I tried adding chicory like one person suggested and the result was orange hair at the roots - yes, ORANGE!!! I had a laugh, at least it's not grey... Re-doing it in a couple of days, should take the edge off...!!! I also add brown coloured mousse occasionally, gives a streak effect, lots of compliments. Fab product, well worth the two hours leave-in time.
Doesn't cover gray hair

I like warm and rich dark brown color this henna hair color gives BUT the biggest problem is that it doesn't cover gray hair AT ALL. I tried maybe 5 packages with different processes - nothing works. I have to die my hair with henna first and then to neutralise the red color over with this hair color. This is the only way it works but that's too much work for me. Don't recommend it if you have a lot of gray hair.
