Stone ground whole grain cornmeal and sorghum impart an unmatched flavor and texture from another era to our Gluten Free Cornbread Mix. After easy preparation you will bake perfectly moist and light cornbread.
Bob's Red Mill products labeled Gluten Free are milled and blended in our dedicated gluten free mill room, packaged in our dedicated gluten free packaging room, and batch tested in our dedicated gluten free quality control laboratory. We use an ELISA Gluten Assay test to confirm that a product is gluten free.
Cornbread Mix Directions
1-1/2 cups Milk (rice, soy, dairy)
1/3 cup Oil or melted Butter
Have all the ingredients at room temperature. Preheat oven to 375ºF. Generously grease a 9 x 9-inch gray, nonstick pan. Place entire package of Bob's Red Mill Cornbread Mix in large mixer bowl. Add 1 1/2 cups milk, 2 large eggs and 1/3 cup canola oil or melted butter. Mix on low speed with electric mixer until blended. Beat another 30 seconds with mixer on high. Pour into baking pan. Bake 25 minutes or until nicely browned.
Whole grain cornmeal, potato starch, whole grain sorghum flour, cane juice, whole grain corn flour, tapioca flour, baking powder (sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium bicarbonate, corn starch, monocalcium phosphate), sea salt, xanthan gum.

If made right, this mix makes awesome, dense, cornbread. Don't overmix or use cold ingredients, will affect the baking and rising of the bread. We add a pinch of vanilla.

Hooray for Bob's Red Mill cornbread mix. We used it for my grandmother's corn soufflé recipe and for cornbread stuffing this Thanksgiving. Nobody noticed any difference from previous years. The texture and flavor matched the quality of the cornbread mixes I used growing up. I highly recommend this product. Stock up so you have it on hand. I'll be making cornbread to accompany my New Year's Eve chili too.

I made this not expecting much, and boy was I wrong! It was dense, but not heavy, and really flavorful. Went well with chili, but tasted even better the next day in the morning when I toasted it and had it with butter and honey. Perfection. Will definitely order it again!
