Bob's Red Mill Organic Kamut Flour is carefully stone ground from plump, golden Kamut grain. Kamut grain is an ancient relative of modern durum wheat that's two to three times the size of common wheat. It has a rich, buttery flavor and is easily digested. It's also a good source of protein and dietary fiber.
Diets rich in whole grain foods and other plant foods low in total fat, saturated fat and cholesterol, may reduce the risk of heart disease and some cancers.
About Kamut Flour - This extraordinary flour can be substituted in recipes calling for whole wheat flour - especially yeast bread recipes. The breads will be a bit more dense and have a buttery rich flavor.
1 cup Bob's Red Mill Kamut Flour
1 cup Bob's Red Mill Unbleached White Flour
1/2 cup dry instant Powdered Milk
1 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Baking Powder
1/4 cup Canola Oil
3/4 cup Water
Stir together dry ingredients; Add water and oil. Stir until well mixed. Knead in bowl 10 to 15 times. Roll out to 3/4" thickness and Cut into 2" squares or diamonds or cut with biscuit cutter. Place 2" apart on baking sheet. Bake at 450° for 8-10 minutes or until golden on top.

I love this stuff! I have been using it in my bread recipes along with regular white bread flour and whole wheat flour (1 cup of each to equal the 3 Cups flour my original recipe called for) and it is fantastic! I have not found it locally so was very happy to find it here. Try it, you won't be sorry.

This is so tasty and so low in calories. I can't believe how good it is. I used it to make pancake and ended up with less than 20 Calorie each and much more delicious and the texture of the pancake is so normal just like normal flour.

makes extra fluffy pancakes with just a hint of whole grain texture. Delicious nutty taste. Prefer this over white flour pancakes any day.
