Bob's Red Mill Pinto Beans are rich in flavor and have a smooth, creamy texture. They're also an excellent, low-fat source of protein and dietary fiber. Extremely versatile, pinto beans make a wonderful side dish, and can be added to all of your favorite recipes calling for beans.

Beans, peas and lentils are natural agricultural products. Despite use of modern agricultural equipment, it is not always possible to remove all foreign material. Sort and rinse before cooking.
Basic Cooking Instructions
- 1 cup Pinto Beans
- 4 cups Water
Soak beans overnight. Drain and rinse beans. Add 4 cups of water for every 1 cup of Pinto Beans. Liquid should be 1-2 inches above top of beans. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer about 1½ hours, or Pressure Cook 6-10 minutes.
1 cup of beans yield 2 - 2 1/2 cups cooked beans.
Cooked beans can store up to 1 week in the refrigerator and up to 6 months in the freezer.

These pinto beans are delicious in so many recipes. I love them in tacos and burritos, as a topping for nachos, in vegetable soups and chili, and even in pasta with tomato sauce and sauteed zucchini. They add a nice amount of healthy protein to any meal. After being cooked, they are tender and very tasty. You can season them however you like as they are cooking. Sometimes, I add salt and a little bit of unprocessed sugar to the cooking water to slightly enhance their natural flavor. They freeze very well, so if you are like me and don't like to cook beans all the time because they take such a long time to cook, make a big batch and freeze in several small containers. This way you can use as much or as little as you like whenever you want without the time-consuming process of cooking them on the spot.

These beans didn't seem to give me gas like almost all others do. My blood type is ab. According to bloodtype diet, pinto beans are medicinal for us.

These beans do the trick! I was missing beans since I am Mexican and I couldn't find beans ANYWHERE in South Korea. I ordered these and was so happy!! They taste great!
