Great taste, light rye
Great taste, light rye
This does not make a heavy 'German' style rye bread What it does make is a lovely light fluffy great tasting rye flavored bread! I added some chia seeds and oat bran and a bit more water when I made it. Put it all in my breadmaker and it was perfect 3 hours later... Highly recommended, I am ordering more :)

Have used Red Mill products before but this was our first purchase from this supplier, iHerb. Same old GREAT PRODUCTS. also ,used the potato bead mix(with the rye;1/2&1/2) with beer as my liquid instead of water or milk. Wonderful bread. Throw in some chopped nuts for crunch.
Best of Bob's bread mixes

This bread mix worked wonderfully in my 1.5 lb bread machine. It produces a very solid, delicious loaf of bread. The only thing I don't much care for is the carob seed they put in the mix. I think they put too much and it kind of overpowers the lovely flavor of the rye dough.
