This highly nutritious whole grain flour is made from the smallest grain in the world. Compared to other grains, it has a much larger percentage of bran and germ so it's a very good source of dietary fiber, protein and iron. Teff flour has long been a nourishing staple of highland Ethiopians. Now, you too can enjoy its light, unique flavor and bountiful nutrition.

Happy to have teff!
Happy to have teff!
We can't get teff in Australia, so I save this for special dishes (like injera!) or only use it in small amounts. I like that it is both gluten free and wholegrain, and mixed with other flours it makes a great multi-grain bread.

Great alternative to wheat

I make delicious crumpets and flat breads with this flour. It's much healthier than using wheat and is gluten free. It is also alkaline for anyone wanting a grain that is not acidic. Product is good.
This product is difficult to buy in the country stores

Teff flour makes tasty gluten free bread. Not only is it healthy but more importantly taste great and will colour the baked bread very nice dark shade, similar in look to dark rye. Big favorite from Bob's Red Mill range!
A bit gritty

My muffins were a bit gritty as the flour is not ground down that much. I would buy again though just I wouldn't expect a velvety gluten-free muffin finish. It is more rustic.
