Eden Brown Rice Miso is a traditional koji fermented miso employing only ancient methods in its creation. Sweet mellow, and salty, it’s made of U.S.A. family farm organic soybeans and brown rice aged up to 12 months.
Its golden color, and blend of robust and subtle flavors, makes it ideal year-round for soups, stews, salad dressing, dips sauces, marinades, and noodle dishes.
Refrigerate after opening.
2-3" pieces EDEN Wakame leaf or 1 tsp. EDEN Wakame Flakes
4 cups water
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1 carrot, diced

2 green onions, finely sliced
Optional ingredients: tofu, dried tofu, shiitake, greens, daikon, lotus, turnip, leeks, noodles, etc.
Rinse wakame, soak in cold water to cover 5 minutes and dice, or add flakes directly, no soaking required. Bring water to a boil. Add onions and wakame. Simmer 3 minutes. Miso soup is a very nutritional food and suitable for everyone. As the ingredients used in the miso gets fermented, the ingredients gets broken and becomes easily digestible. Miso is also high in antioxidant, found to reduce cancer rate, boost immune system, balances pH value in body and boost energy level. I am a fan of miso soup! I tried all 4 miso soups from Eden Soup. All are organic and good quality. This version of miso tastes closest to most Japanese restaurants (might differ from yours to mine). It mixes well too. You can easily adjust the taste by adding more or less accordingly! The price is very cheap and one packet will go a long way! Check out my page for more reviews!

Delicious miso, I like to make miso soup or use it as seasoning
Didn't realise it is imported from Japan

Product is fine, but it is imported by Eden Foods from Japan. Because of radiation continue to flow from Fukushima, better if Eden finds another supplier, or make its own. Still, this Miso is superb.
Great product - does not heat well

Love the taste and texture. However, the package says it can compliment stir-fry's as a substitute for soy sauce. I have tried using this in a pan with other food on the stove and it does NOT absorb/melt well - like soy sauce. As an alternative - it's flavor is superior to soy - but lacks in the ability to absorb and infuse.

I think miso is kind of superfood. But this product is quite different from japanese miso. It's more like soysauce soup. I will try other type of Eden's miso.

I'm always happy to come across a good quality Miso that is sold as being gluten free. I'm not coeliac, just a bit sensitive, I get a bloated sore stomach when I eat gluten containing foods. I haven't noticed any reaction to this at all so I am very happy. It is a different flavour to the brown rice miso I used to buy which I am not loving at the moment, but then it took me a while to get a taste for the last one so hopefully I will get used to this one.
