In ancient times, frankincense was used by upper-class Egyptians to ward off foul odors, which were associated with evil. It is still burned as incense today but needs an outside heat source, such as incense charcoal, to burn. Frankincense is an oleo-gum-resin that seeps from the tree when the bark is injured or cut. The liquid solidifies on contact with air into globular chunks or "tears." When ground, frankincense powder quickly hardens again upon air exposure. The resinous, dry and balsamic aroma is a component of many perfumes.
Safety Guideline: For external use only. Not for use in pregnancy except under the supervision of a qualified healthcare practitioner.
What a wonderful treasure and benefits!

Coming from "Egypt" where we inherited using this wonderful natural gum for many purposes, I was looking for a high quality Frankincense Tears for a long time. This product is really great, huge amount that lasts so long, and very high quality. How we use it? Many many things, just to mention few of them: 1)- Incense "the most famous use" it has a great aroma and disinfects your home against harmful bacteria and bugs. 2)- "Cough/Mucus/Asma" remedy: soak one tear drop in 8 oz boiling water for 15 minutes then drink the water. 3)- as chewing gum, it cleans the teeth, giving you a very nice and fresh mouth smell and protects your gum, teeth and throat from harmful bacteria. (very important tip, to avoid it sticks in your teeth keep it in the fridge for an hour before chewing, and enjoy) 4)- with Egyptian "Myrrh" one tear each soaked in boiling water then cool and sifted, then used as an external vaginal wash, very safe, effective and kills any bad bacteria or bad odor. 5)- As a digestive aid after big meals, "chew" or drink its juice as described in # 2) 6)- "Hair Wash" "25 oz of Frankincense Tears juice + 3-5 drops of lavender oil or tea tree oil (helps with dandruff). 7)- "facial mask" (some frankincense juice with rose water and rice flour (make a spreadable dough) leave it for 10 minutes, keep using it once a week to unclog and clean pores. 8)- Drinking or chewing Frankincense is great for our immune system and for insulin regulation. 9)- Use frankincense oil "diffuse/inhale" for calmness, stress relief, and good sleep.

Clean for consuming. The tears are big enough to put on charcoal over time. However, I crush them since I prefer to burn 1-2 spoonful at once.
For external use only

This is a good product as far as color and consistency. If you want a gum resin to chew, this is not suitable as it has no taste or aroma. The description says "Boswellia species" but is non-specific. It is not a sacra or carteri, it appears to be a papyrifera that lost its potency for some reason. This product is great for mixing with other more potent tears in order to stretch it. Would buy only for that reason.
IT'S FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY...

I JUST CAUTION YOU BECAUSE I SAW THE REVIEW HERE SAYING THEY EAT THOSE, NONO. TO USE THOSE RIGHT, JUST USE AS INCENSE. DO NOT BURN THEMSELVES... I PUT THEM ON FOIL AND BURN THE FOIL WITH CANDLE AND FOUND THE WAY IS THE EASIER THAN ANY METHOD.
