Harney & Sons, Ambessa, Marcus Samuelsson, Black Tea, The Earl of Harlem, 20 Sachets, 1.4 oz (40 g) (Discontinued Item)
- Smoky Black Tea with Bergamot
This new take on an old classic adds an air of mystery to the traditional Earl Grey. Citrusy layers, bergamot and floral aromas mingle with lingering smoky base notes for a rich and fragrant finish.
Ambessa Teas are selected and blended by esteemed tea merchants Harney & Sons.
Ethiopian roots, a Scandinavian upbringing, world travel and an American coming of age...Ambessa's blends are a reflection of chef Marcus Samuelsson's own journey as well as his passion for world-wide culinary creativity.
A tribute to his African heritage, 'Ambessa' means 'lion' in the Amharic language and represents the traditional emblem of Ethiopia.
For Marcus, Ambessa is a way to celebrate a world of cultures, traditions and flavors. These inspired interpretations of classic tea blends are made from the most carefully selected ingredients from all over the planet.
Tea, to me, has always represented something special—the heritage of hospitality, a moment of reflective comfort, the meeting of friends and communities...and above all a refreshing, restorative and delicious experience.
In a life so rich and rewarding of experience, culture, cuisines and possibility, I never want to lose sight of how lucky I am or how unique my journey has been.
For best results, bring water to a boil and let it sit for up to a minute before pouring over the sachet. Allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes. Steep shorter for a subtle flavor, longer for a bolder brew.
Add a little flair to roasted root vegetables by using a cup of this smoky tea in your glaze.
Black tea and jasmine teas, natural flavors.
I originally purchased this for the pretty colored tin, but the tea itself is amazing! It has great smoky, yet non-overpowering floral scent, that works very well. I would have enjoyed a slightly stronger flavor/aroma, but this is just as good. Between The Earl of Harlem and Winter White Earl Grey, I'd go with White Earl Grey, for those who are trying to decide between the two.

el toque ahumado que tiene no nos ha gustado nada, el te en si es bueno pero el sabor no es nuestro estilo (a mi novio le recuerda el olor a chorizo...) en fin que con este no repetiremos, demasiado aromatico.
Like it a lot
