I was unable to take fish oil due to excessive pain and reflux, not to mention the fact that it made me smell like a fish dinner, so I tried this brand of krill oil, in the hope that I would tolerate it better. I am pleased to say that this krill oil has no side effects, and does not have any aftertaste or smell either. I am even more pleased to say that within weeks of starting to take it, it has already improved my health...best of all, it has regulated my menstrual cycle, and I found that if I take six capsules a day (3 in the morning, 3 later in the day) during that time of the month, I don't get cramping and fatigue (before krill, I had to spend days in bed sick at that time of the month)! I did read somewhere that Omega 3 blocks the prostaglandin E2 that causes menstrual cramping, and it is nice to know that that appears to be true. Omega 3 is also hypothesised to help endometriosis by blocking the same prostaglandin, but only time will tell on that score.
Waiting for the Brain Mood kick in

I generally like Krill Oil supplements since they seem to lift my mood quicker than regular omega supplements.. NOt all however.. there are 3 major suppliers of Krill... I generally lean toward the Superba... (Norway, AkerBioMarine) rather than NKO.. (Canada, NOw brand) & KReal. Israeli company "Enzymotec".. which is this brand. Only because I once had a noticeable mood uplift with a particular brand of Superba (Sunforce) .. As for the others it could have been shelf life.. rancidity can come into play.. I am not sure.. I have not experienced the noticable mood lift but to be fare, it could be things other than this brand.. and quality may be just as good. However not noticing anything overtly positive still makes me want to seek out Superba. On iherb, Mercola, I believe sources Superba. (but see his bottle now doesn't list it so he may source others) & he is pricier too. I did try the less expensive Natrol, but I didn't like its effect and it is Superba Krill... so it can also be the brand & how they manipulate it. Jury is still out on all of these.. Though for now my favorite, are Sunforce, Mercola, ... Take this with a grain of salt.. I am not a lab technician who was able to test each brand I have tried for purity and freshness... just going on my own subjective response.

Not the best shape for swallowing, but works as I like it. I use it to keep my skin healthy and it works very well.
Too hard to swallow

Although they are not large, they are definitely not "soft"gels. They are very hard and solid and hurt when going down my throat—I've never had this reaction with supplement I've ever taken, even vitamin pills that are over 2x bigger. Not happy about having to throw the entire bottle out rather than risk it damaging my throat. :(
good second best

I got these as they seemed to compare fairly well with Dr Mercola one's but were a bit cheaper. I'd probably go with Dr Mercola's if I could afford it but felt these run a good second best. They're quite strong smelling but I guess krill is going to be a bit stinky.
