Kashi Pilaf Cooking Instructions
- Using 2 parts water or other liquid to one part Kashi Pilaf, bring liquid to a boil on high heat.
- Add Kashi Pilaf to boiling liquid. Keep covered for softer texture.
- Reduce heat to medium, and cook until all water is absorbed (about 25 minutes).
- If desired, add 1/4 cup more liquid and continued to cook until absorbed for softer texture.
- Serve hot as a base for stir-frys, stuffings, side dishes or dessert!
- Refrigerate or freeze unused Pilaf.

I love it
I use this in soups, under stir fry, or just as a side. It gives a nutty, fullbodied flavor to anything I add it to. It freezes well after its cooked so I put it in serving size pkgs and its ready to be added to store bought soup or a frozen dinner for a hearty quick meal.
So glad iHerb carries this.

It is no longer available at the two stores where I used to buy it. I use it for grain salads -- anything that calls for a whole grain (wheat berries, barley, etc.) -- and it makes them very special. (My favorite -- with scallions, walnuts, blood oranges, dried cranberries and a tangerine dressing.)

This is awesome and delicious. They have loads of recipe ideas on the Kashi website as well. I love making this with some cranberries and topping with roasted sweet potato and chickpeas with cinnamon and nutmeg. Really yummy and filling!
Grains for breakfast

I don't cook this product the way it says on the label. I put a few tablespoons in a sealed thermos container and cover with unfiltered apple juice, and then leave it on the kitchen counter for 24 hours. I have the uncooked whole grains for breakfast every morning. It's incredibly nutritious and it's my favorite meal of the day. Highly recommended!
