The best seaweed - a well balanced natural source of iodine
The best seaweed - a well balanced natural source of iodine
I don't tolerate the most common form of organic iodide at all it seems, so after struggling with what else to use for awhile, I've now settled on this. I've seen three caps a day recommended by reputable sources that I trust, and personally find that to be a good amount. This brand was also the one recommended as the best to take by the same sources. When taking iodine, it pays to be mindful that B12 is an iodine synergist and may need to be increased as well, especially with long term use. Magnesium is an iodine antagonist - suggest avoid taking together if you supplement both (e.g. try iodine AM, magnesium PM). Also pays to be mindful that iodine is a manganese antagonist, and manganese is required for synthesis of thyroxin/endocrine health (and more) - initial good results that deteriorate over time may be due to depletion of other essential co-factors. B1 and niacin/niacinamide (B3) are iodine antagonists that I also avoid - I've recently read a couple of niacin studies that noted decreased thyroid hormone levels in participants using B3 (to the point of being diagnosed hypothyroid, which fortunately resolved a month after discontinuing B3). I love that these caps don't contain any fillers - thank you Nature's Way. If this review was helpful to you, please click YES below - thank you. 7 months ago I was struggling with extremely low blood pressure (74/49), heart rate not exceeding 53 bpm, diagnosed bradycardia without specific cause, felt tired after all night sleep, couldn't keep my head straight even after 30 minutes after waking up, the only solution back then was to take Redbull and black coffee in order to survive working day (and I was still in my mid-20's!), was eating 1000 kcal per day because if I ate a calorie more, it would result in my weight gain immediately. My hair was terrible and falling out slowly, my skin was dry and I had mood swings that I could not justify, and I am actually a psychologist!! I realized that something is terribly wrong, and the worst thing was that the problem didn't just recently happen, it was evolving for a while without me being aware of it!! Finally, I went to check my thyroid... blood test within the normal range, T3, T4 and TSH hormones also more or less ok, only Ultrasound showed enlarged thyroid but still no alarm to get on a medication.. so doctors said it's stress related and that I should just get rest... nobody checked my antibodies. I was exploring the options of helping myself because I knew staying on black coffee and redbull was not a solution. I saw this product and decided to try it on my own risk... after a week I felt better, my blood pressure was improving, my heart rate was getting normal again, I could survive a full day without redbull, coffee or taking naps... did was it promised! Then I came to one clinic, asked to check antibodies, they were all present, anti-TPO, anti-Tg, fT4, etc... but the doctor said she was surprised that my antibodies were staying really low despite all the symptoms I was having. I said I am taking Kelp with 240% of iodine, and she said that if I did my antibodies check up before taking Kelp, for sure they would be much higher than now, so she suggested me to keep taking Kelp. Now I am on my 7th month, thyroid on ultrasound is starting to look much healthier, antibodies and hormones are staying low level and decreasing day by day.. I still have a long journey in front of me, but it is looking really promising.. and as for my metabolism, my weight hadn't decreased, I am still retaining a lot of water and fat, but I started to take Garcinia with 95% HCA along with the Kelp and I am literally melting down each day..

I take one pill a day as a part of my ketogenic lifestyle regime. Gently supports my thyroid and helps stronger hair growth in combination with 1000mg of Vitamin C (in a form of ascorbic acid).
