NOW Pine Bark Extract is naturally derived from the inner bark of Chinese Red Pine (Pinus massoniana), which is prized for its powerful free radical-scavenging polyphenolic flavonoid constituents, oligomeric proanthocyanidis (OPCs). Scientific studies indicate that Chinese Red Pine Bark Extract may help to support healthy cellular growth and reproduction. Green Tea Extract with ECGg has been included in this product for its abundant flavonols that complement the oxidant neutralizing of Pine Bark Extract.

I purchased this as an alternative way of reaping the over-hyped benefits of the overly-expensive patented Pycnogenol brand capsules. I was happy with Pycnogenol, but it's just way too expensive, in my opinion. I do not believe there is anything that they are doing that others can not replicate to some degree. My experience with this brand of pine bark extract is largely favorable. As far as I can tell, the primary difference is that Pycnogenol is an extract of the French Maritime pine tree bark. This, in contrast, is an extract from the bark of the Chinese Red Pine tree. Both are species from the pinus family. In addition, this also has green tea extract, which is a nice added energy and antioxidant benefit. And, I've honestly found there to be no difference between this and Pycnogenol. However, I used to take the latter in the evenings before bed. I don't do that with these due to the green tea content. In addition, I've taken both together with arginine and citrulline, and have been very pleased with the results. I would definitely get this again.

It's only early days (30) but I have been taking one capsule a day along with L-Arginine and it appears to be having the desired effect, will continue for the 90 days but happy with the results so far.

I orders this product and it was never delivered. I have now had to go through PayPal to make a claim. I then get a response from iHerb that they cannot see the order! I am still awaiting a full refund and would not order from them again or recommend them to anyone.

Got terrible headaches from this form of pine bark extract. The french maritime pine bark extract (Now Foods, Pycnogenol, 60 mg) seems to work much better. Perhaps because this is from China? Or is the dose just too high? I think NOW should reformulate this with 100mg per capsule and ditch the green tea extract. Ernest Castillo from iHerb customer support wasn't able to refund this product due to iHerb's disclaimer.
