Humble Beginnings: Nubian Heritage is the brainchild of two New York street vendors. In 1992, fresh out of college and without jobs, Rich and Nyema embarked on a mission to product luxurious natural products from traditional African recipes with organic and fair trade ingredients. Today Nubian Heritage offers hundreds of culturally authentic natural products inspired by global ancient healing philosophies. Although Nubian Heritage products are no longer made in bath tubs, little else has changed; the company still makes its products itself, still uses fair trade and organic ingredients and still invests in community commerce.
Heritage Black Seed Oil, Nigella Sativa, can be traced back more than 3000 years to the Assyrians and ancient Egyptians. Discovered in the tomb of King Tutankhamen, Black Seed Oil was reportedly used by Queen Nefertiti to maintain her exquisite complexion. Black Seed earned the Arabic approbation "habbatul barakah" the seed of blessing for its powerful curative properties in traditional medicine. Honey has been used historically as a natural antiseptic in balms and salves to comfort and soothe skin, reduce redness and heal wounds.

SUPER!!! Sustitute for Loccitan Honey!
SUPER!!! Sustitute for Loccitan Honey!
I have senstive skin and react especially for synthetic cheap perfume but this one is OK and the texture is SUPER, no itchiness neither drying. For those of you who used to love Loccitan's Honey (which was discontinued) must love this product!!! But I kind of doubt that the perfume is made from essential oils as listed on the bottle...I assume this perfume is synthetic but made from natural ingredients or concentrated essential oils like RUSH(Canadian Brand), it really depends on the definition of 'natural'....still as overrall this product is SUPER and I will definetely buy another one!!!
The smell is too strong

The smell of this lotion is too strong, lingers for hours. I had a headache from it :( It's a very sweet smell, might be better for winter than summer. The lotion is very thick and hard to get out of the bottle, but moisturizes well. I wish the smell was less strong because otherwise it has a nice and very feminine fragrance.
very pungent sweet scent, too thick, hard to get out of bottle.

Definetely not good to use on the face as i was looking for a moisturiser for my dry acne-prone skin. Not even good on the body as the scent is too sweet and honeylike for me. Shouldnt have bought two
Love the Fragrence

Too thick and strong smelling

I love the honey and black seed soap, but the lotion isn't for me. It's too thick for the type of bottle it's in - a squeeze tube would probably work better. And the smell is too strong and sweet for my preference.
