Indian Hemp & Haitian Vetiver Soap with Neem Oil
Heritage: For centuries global healers have applied hemp roots to the skin for inflammation. Cultivated in China as early as 4000 BC, Hemp has a long history of use for food, fuel, fiber, medicine and skincare. The "oil of tranquility", Vetiver, native to Asia, is used in tropical communities to create calming, soothing remedies. Neem Oil forms the foundation of Ayurveda, the ancient Indian practice of natural healing. Documented for 4000 years in Sanskrit, Neem Oil's wide spectrum of medicinal properties has earned it the title "village pharmacy".
Essential fatty acids and potent emollients balance naturally anti-septic and anti-bacterial Neem Oil in this healing Hemp and Shea Butter soap. Finely crushed Hemp Seed and Vetiver gently polish and cleanse rough, dry, dull skin, leaving it smooth and soft.
Nubian Heritage is the brainchild of two New York street vendors. In 1992, fresh out of college and without jobs, Rich and Nyema embarked on a mission to produce luxurious natural products from traditional African recipes with organic and fair trade ingredients. Today Nubian Heritage offers hundreds of culturally authentic natural products inspired by global ancient healing philosophies. Although Nubian Heritage products are no longer made in bath tubs, little else has changed; the company still makes its products itself, still uses fair trade and organic ingredients and still invests in community commerce.
100% vegetable oils: palm oil and/or coconut oil*, vegetable glycerin, organic shea butter*, cannabis sativa seed (hemp) oil, vetiver, melia azadirachta seed (neem) oil, mineral pigment or vegetable color, natural fragrance and/or essential oil

Deliciousness in this soap!
Deliciousness in this soap!
Im using this soap right after I go to Sauna. First of all, the smell is just delicious. I can't put my finger on the precise scent. It is not overpowering or pungent at all, it is just a mild pleasant scent. The size is huge compared to other soap I ordered. It lathers up really foamy and very rich, and It leaves my skin feeling soft- so supple that I need no moisturizer afterwards.. just incredible. I must say that once in a while I use this product also for my hair (particularly my scalp) since I have oily scalp and with this wintery-weather it gets very itchy, dry, and flaky- almost irritated. Ive tried dandruff shampoos but besides not being eco friendly, they make the matter worse. This soothes my scalp and cleanses it very well, but without making it dry like with castillian soap. Apparently the reason is the Neem oil, which for example, in Indian culture women use it for their scalp and hair to keeping it healthy and nice. Give a try to this wonderful soap! believe me you'll like it and if you can also use it once in a while in your scalp do it. The price was excellent for the amount of soap, and since I don't use it in a daily basis (1-2 times per week with Sauna) its going to last.

I find the Nubian Heritage soaps creamy and nice to use. The smell of this product is quite nice. That said, I find the price of the soaps a bit expensive.
Good for alleging skin

My mom in law is suffered from skin allergy for long time. She used this soap since Oct 2016 and the skin condition improved after several days use. The skin didn't get itchy and was smooth. She joked and asked me to buy her 10 pieces just afraid it might be not be available later Worthy for a try
great moisturizing soap

I love using this soap during cold, dry winter weather when my skin is thirsty for moisture. I switch to this brand's African Black soap during muggy summer weather.
Not Organic, Synthetic Perfume, Toxic Chemicals, heavy metals

After I read the latest positive reviews about this product I decided to immediately buy a few of these soaps. Bad decision !! The company must recently have changed the original soap from organic natural ingredients only, to a cheap toxic smelling bar of soap. A summarize what is listed on the new label: Sodium Palmate, Water, Glycerin, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Fragrance (Parfum), Sodium Chloride, Shea Butter, Aspalathus Linearis Leaf, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Tetrasodium EDTA, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 47005), Iron Dioxide (Ci 7789l), Melia Azadrachta Seed Oil, Red 4, (Ci 14700), Green 3 (Ci 42053), Citric Acid. Unnatural coloring's, Heavy metals, a synthetic smell, etc etc, sorry but that is not my kind of thing. And then the smell, well it has similarities with such a cheap toilet spray, to imagine to put this on my body no thank you... Please Iherb.com, check the new label of this soap and update the ingredient listing on this website so people know what they are buying.
