Rainbow Henna Coats each hair's shaft with color. Smooths and seals the hair's cuticle for greater shine. Texturizes hair and gives it body. Blends naturally. Fades gradually. Lasts 4-6 weeks.
Henna is an alternative to chemical hair colorings that are controversial to health considerations. Henna comes from small shrubs, called Lawsonia, that are native to the Middle East, West Asia, and North Africa. The leaves are dried and then pulverized to a fine powder. Rainbow chooses only the finest grade Henna.
Pour 4 oz (1 cup) Rainbow Henna into a glass or plastic bowl. Gradually add 1 cup boiling water. Use a wooden or plastic spoon to mix thoroughly to a creamy consistency. (More liquid can be added if mixture is too thick.) For Rainbow Neutral Henna, mix 2 oz (1/2 cup) with 1 cup boiling water.
Natural henna - cassia obovata.
For external use only. Store in a cool, dry place. Filled by weight. Do not use in the area of the eye or if scalp has open cuts. Not for use on bleached or white hair. A strand test should be done if hair is over 10% grey.
Great neutral henna
Great neutral henna
Henna can build up in the hair, but I like to use it every few weeks to cover a few gray roots. So what I do is I mix half a jar of the Persian Light Brown and apply that to the roots, then I use a jar of the Neutral on the rest of my hair (which is long). There is no obvious line between the two because the Neutral is not colorless...it adds a slight reddish tint, but a very faint one. Mostly it adds LOTS of shine and thickness. Henna is not for everyone, but in my case it allowed me completely to discontinue using chemicals on my hair. I have natural light brown/auburn (depending on how you look at it) hair, so henna was an option. Blondes probably should not use this product because it is NOT COLORLESS.

Mixed it with the blonde henna to try to make my grays a bit golden and camomille, did not work to good but made hair nice and thixk.Heard you have to use the neutral henna first and then blonre on top so will try that next time plus soem rhubarb root and herbatint camomille shampoo..

Have used this product three times now. I mix n match with other colours, like neutral and blonde...and still my hair picks up the red, however the neutral does tone it down. Also, use coffee liquid and maple syrup and macadamia oil and an egg and apple cider vinegar added to the henna powder, and the colour certainly does stick! Its fun to be able to mix n match, and then wonder what colour tone you will get at the end...and this is usually some reddish form, especially on the grey and white bits.
Shiny and sleek hair

I have very fine hair so one jar lasts me for two applications. I mixed it with hot water and added to tablespoons of yogurt and it made my hair shinier and sleeker.
good thing it was a neutral color :(

So, while it is a natural product and it should be considered as a mask delivering nutrients to your hair..it took me ages to get it out of my hair, it was so stuck to my hair I had to wash twice and it made it even more difficult to tame my frizz after that..the only positive was that it was neutral colour, otherwise I think I would have gone mad altogether. Definitely would give it zero stars if I could
Nice Neutral Conditioning Henna! SAFE for your hair too!
