Testmedica, Home Tests, One Step Home Scan, Pregnancy Test, 3-Pack (Discontinued Item)
- Over 99% Accurate
You can use the TestMedica Pregnancy Test as early as the first day of a missed period for the early detection of pregnancy.
Questions & Answers
Q. How accurate is the test?
A. In both laboratory and clinical tests with consumers, the test proved to be over 99% accurate. If you think the result is not correct, wait a few days and test again, using a new One-Step Pregnancy test.
Q. How does the TestMedica Pregnancy Test Work?
A. When you are pregnant, your body produces a pregnancy hormone known as hCG (human Chorionic Gonadotropin). The presence of this hormone will give a positive result (Two lines). If there is no hCG detected a negative result will show only one line.
Q. Will medication, alcohol or contraceptives affect the result?
A. Alcohol will not affect the results, Oral contraceptives, pain relievers, antibiotics, hormone therapies and other commonly used medications should not affect the test result.
Q. Will drinking a lot of liquids affect the result?
A. Excessive fluid intake could dilute your urine, causing hCG not to be detected properly. You may concentrate the hCG in your urine by reducing your fluid intake and not urinating for two hours before testing.
How to use the TestMedica One-Step Pregnancy Test
- Remove the test strip from its foil wrapper.
- Fill a clean cup with a urine sample and hold the strip in a vertical position. The urine level should not be higher than the "max level" indicated on the strip.
- Dip the test strip into the urine.
- Read results after 5 minutes.
Reading Your Results
In 5 minutes, a color band will appear closest to the top indicating that the test is complete (single color band). The closest band to the bottom shows the test results. If there is any color band close to the bottom (two color bands), you are pregnant. If there is no color band, or a single color band to the top, you are not pregnant.
- For In Vitro diagnostic use only. (Not for internal use.)
- Do not reuse the test strip.
- If you get unexpected results, check with your doctor.

at first i thought i'd been had, because the box is huge, and the tests are, unlike the clunky plastic stick housed things one might have seen before, it's just a little test strip in a foil pack. also, the test strip doesn't look a thing like the picture, so I wasn't sure if I was even using the right end or what it was supposed to look like. Got it figured out, but I was feeling very unsure of myself. Please, TESTMEDICA, the tests are fine; just redo those instructions. I'm awfully smart, but taking one of these tests is an emotionally charged moment and one doesn't tolerate confusion well in such circumstances.

Long story short, I took ten of these over the course of a week, all showed very faint, but visible, pink lines immediately. All other brands of test were negative, however. Went to hospital worried about ectopic. Hospital urine test negative, nothing on ultrasound, blood hcg zero. I also got my period the week I was testing. I couldn't have been less pregnant. But these tests continued to give me lines, and I took another two today to confirm that they are faulty, knowing I'm absolutely not pregnant. Sure enough... Lines.. Spend your money elsewhere, and don't buy these. They will get your hopes up, possibly for nothing.

I took all 3 of these tests and received a negative result. I took another brand a few hours later and received a positive.

I find this test unreliable. I took three tests - the whole pack! And ALL were negative. I was doubtful so I took a few tests from another brand and they were positive! Be careful with these tests ...
