- Bright & Amber Colored Pure Ceylon Black Tea
Despite its name, this tea does not contain orange flavor. “Orange Pekoe” is a term used to grade the size and quality of dried black tea leaves. “Ceylon” is the previous name of the country from where it is grown, now Sri Lanka, a small island in the Indian Ocean. Sri Lankan tea is unique because the country's hot, sunny climate is perfectly balanced with the right amount of rain to yield teas with a wide range of flavor and color. Our blend is created by carefully selecting the finest teas from the high-altitude district of Dimbula, which give this tea its bright, golden color and crisp, refreshing taste.
Use 1 teaspoon of loose tea in a strainer per cup (6-8oz). If making tea in a teapot and an infuser is not used, pour through a strainer. Brew 3 minutes or to desired taste.
*We do not recommend using a microwave to boil your cup of water.
Lovely presentation in this attractive tin.

It's fantastic to be able to buy real leaf tea. It seems to be disappearing from the supermarkets at a rapid rate.
Great quality at reasonable price

An excellent tea that is sadly no longer available in Australia. One of our favorites and very pleased to see that it can now be purchased and delivered to Australia. There are plenty of sellers on the internet but few will deliver here. As with any tea experimentation is the key to what suits you best. Too many poor reviews get posted for the want of properly brewing to your taste. Thank you iHerb for the excellent service. We will be back.

Orange pekoe is my new favorite, but it's hard to find. This particular brand is nice, but the famous taste is not very pronounced. It takes more that a heaped teaspoon of leaves to make a cup, and it takes a long time to steep. I will order again because I want to have orange pekoe to drink and I have no alternative, but the price is too high for the taste that is not too adequate.
